Shift Into Summer! Autocross
Join us Sunday May 7th as we Shift Into Summer with an Autocross at Pikes Peak International Raceway. Autocrosses are one of the most fun activities you can do with your car! You will experience the thrill of precision driving in a safe, controlled environment. PPIR offers 13 acres of open asphalt where we’ll set up a fun and challenging course using rubber cones.
The course will open at 7:00 AM with a mandatory driver’s meeting at 8:30. Participants will be split in to run groups and the first group will start their first lap at 9:00. We will go through the run groups one car at a time until all participants get at least 5 chances at the course.
There will be a food truck on site for breakfast and lunch.
BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE: This is a fun and event-filled weekend at PPIR. On Saturday there will be a "Wash and Shine" Car show across in the East Paddock and an HPDE (High Performance Drivers Education Event) taking place on the "roval" - the banked part of PPIR and a challenging infield course. Come grab a bite to eat and watch the action of the HPDE! There will be a food truck on site the entire weekend (during the AX and the HPDE).
Once the driving is done we will gather for "Beer 30" an HPDE tradition to have a beverage and tell tales about the day's adventures - we will follow up and conclude the day with a Spaghetti Dinner for all to attend! Please register for the dinner if you plan on attending - we don't want to run out of food!

Event requirements
No autocross experience required! All Porsche makes are welcome. Non-Porsches are also welcome, but no SUV’s or trucks. You need not be a member of PCA or AMR to participate. Novices Welcome!
Cost: $60 for PCA members $70 for non-PCA members
We will have "official" cone shaggers and course marshalls - so come out and watch the other group run while you wait for your turn! Timing courtesy of SCCA.
Helmets: You must be 16 or older to participate in this event and have 2015 Snell Rated M or newer helmet. We may have loaner helmets available, please email event chair if you need a loaner for the day.

If you are 16 or 17 years old, you will need to have a parent or guardians fill out a junior participation form at the event. At least one of the parents or guardians must be present at the event. No exceptions.
