Portland Autocross Tour - June 10-11, 2023

Visit Oregon's finest gardens and experience an Autocross course with your HDR Porsche Club friends on this overnight driving tour through the Willamette valley to Portland and Vancouver WA. Saturday, June 10 will be a drive from Bend to the Hilton Vancouver WA hotel including a group tour of The Oregon Garden in Silverton, OR and a group dinner at Who Song and Larry's Cantina in Vancouver. A room block is reserved at the Hilton. The following Sunday, June 11 will be the Oregon Region ORPCA Autocross at Portland Raceway Park, starting promptly at 7:30 am and finishing about 1:30 pm. Two separate registrations are required in MotorsportReg.com: 1) for the HDR driving tour on Saturday June 10 the fee is $20 per person and 2) for the ORPCA Autocross #4 on Sunday June 11 the fee is $43 per car. The return to Bend after the autocross is "on-your-own".
The tour will begin at the Starbucks Cascade Village in Bend at 8:30 am on Saturday morning June 10, traversing Santiam Pass to Silverton, OR and visit The Oregon Garden. Group admission to the Gardens is included in the registration. Lunch will be available at the Garden that is paid "on-your-own". After lunch the drive will continue through Portland area across the Columbia River just into Vancouver to the Hilton hotel. After check-in at the hotel there will be a group dinner at nearby Who Song and Larry's Cantina, billed separately to eack party.
A room block for the High Desert Porsche Club is reserved at the Hilton Vancouver, 301 W. 6th Street Vancouver, WA 98660, at a discount rate of $179.00 + tax for standard room with 2 Queen beds or $220.00 + tax for an upgrade room. Self parking fee is $29.00 and breakfast can be included at an additional room rate.
Sunday morning about 7:15 am we will drive to Portland International Speedway (just across the river 10 minutes away), where our group will meet with ORPCA Autocross team for a free mandatory pre-tech inspection and orientation for the autocross event including a walk-through of the course. It is anticipated that each participant will be able to make 7 or 8 timed runs on the autocross course. Bottled water will be available however you must bring your own snacks. After the Autocross event the return to Bend is on-your-own.

Hotel reservations must be made before May 30, 2023. Please make your reservations by calling the Hilton Vancouver WA hotel directly at (855) 605-0316 and ask for the High Desert Porsche Club block room rates.
Registration for the ORPCA Autocross #4 is required at MotorsportReg.com (fee is $43 per car). It is strongly suggested that you register for the ORPCA Autocross #4 AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to ensure a spot. A helmet is required that is Snell SA or M 2015 or newer certification to participate in this event. A limited number of helmets will be available to borrow at the PIR autocross site. A car number will be required to display on your car doors which can be applied the morning of the Autocross using blue painters adhesive tape. You can request a car number during the ORPCA autocross registration site, which is linked to the ORPCA member database and it will let you know if that number is available.
