Tarryall Reservoir Off-Road Tour

Colorado Scenic Roads

About this event

Tarryall Reservoir Off-Road Tour

It's time to get our Cayennes and Macans a little dirty so join us for our annual AMR Off-Road tour. Of course, if you don't own a Porsche SUV, all marques are welcome. This tour will be on Saturday, August 15th through some of our region's most scenic vistas. The on-road portion of the tour will take us northeast through Pike National Forest passing through Woodland Park and Lake George, past Tarryall Reservoir, and then off-road up to Boreas Pass. The tour will end at the top of Boreas Pass which is a great place to have a picnic lunch.

We'll meet at the Rudy's Country Store and Bar-B-Q parking lot (315 South 31st St., Colorado Springs, CO 80904) at 8:00 for event check-in and a mandatory drivers' briefing. PLEASE NOTE: It is important that all participants attend the drivers' briefing starting PROMPTLY at 8:15. Regrettably, any late arrivals who miss any portion of the briefing will not be able to participate in the tour.

Tour LEAD will be Tim Veldheer. Tour is limited to 30 cars.

IMPORTANT:  In compliance with State of Colorado guidelines and in order to ensure our members' safety, we must maintain social distancing. Additionally, it is a requirement that all tour participants wear a face mask while outside their vehicles. PLEASE ARRIVE AT THE TOUR WITH A MASK FOR EACH PARTICIPANT. Extra hand sanitizer, disposable gloves, trash baskets, disposable face masks and cleaners/disinfectants will be available at the start of the tour, but please bring your own. Participants and volunteers should stay at home if they are at higher risk for severe illness, or if they are sick or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, cough or shortness of breath, must stay home.
