Immersive Simulation Time Trials at Axon Driver Solutions

Join us on TUESDAY September 24th, 2024 for a Sim racing event at Axon Driver Solutions in Burnaby (7337 N Fraser Wy, Burnaby, BC, V5J 0G7)

Sim Goats Time Trials: The idea is for track enthusiasts to continue competing against their fellow track rat friends in the off season. The event will follow the same format as our regular time trials series. 

Gates open at 6:30pm with on-sim activities from 7:00pm - 9:00pm. Early arrivals may begin their practice session early in order help make-up time loss due to driver changeover. Run groups will be determined on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Driving gloves are mandatory when using the Axon Driving Simulators (driving shoes are optional)

Entry Fee 

• $25 - Regular Drivers
• $5 - Axon Members (must be valid on the day of the event)

Payment Notes:
1) Payments will be taken onsite and upon arrival.
2) Preferred payment method will be cash.
3) Payments taken via credit card will result in an additional $2 fee.
4) Include your full name as you have used on MSR

Format:

• Each driver will have one 10 minute practice session in the driver's seat
• Each driver will have 3 timed sessions in the driver's seat.
• Your final scored time for the event is your fastest time lap time from any one of the three timed sessions.
• The track chosen for this time trial is Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit (aka Bathurst).
• The car chosen will be revealed during drivers' meeting.
• Drivers must attend the drivers’ meeting. Failure to attend gives the organizers the right to award a disqualification (DSQ) to the non-compliant driver.
• Practice Session are 10 minute sessions where a driver can experiment with a vehicle and learn the track. 
• Timed Sessions are 3 laps long where a driver must set a timed and valid lap.
• The early bird practice session is the equivalent of a “Practice 1” session that is meant to “make-up” for lost time due to driver changeover.
  • An early bird practice session will only run if enough drivers arrive for the start time.
  • This group of drivers will form the new Group A.
  • First 5 that show up is Group A
  • The organizers will reorganize Groups B and C as a result.
  • This will count as a driver’s practice 1 session if they choose to participate.
  • The early bird practice session is not an extra practice session.
  • The organizers have the right to not hold an early bird practice session.
