About this event
The 2017 SCCA Alaska Autocross State Championship, sponsored by Pearson Auto, is coming to an end. Our last weekend events will be held at Alaska Raceway Park on Saturday and Sunday, September 16th and 17th.
Saturday will be a normal Solo day filled with intense competition, a challenging course, and fun with cars. Sunday will be our last Solo Event of the year and we want to do something special to end the year with a bang. Sunday we will have a short Solo event, 5 runs for each driver and that's it. Then we will break for lunch which will be a potluck style. SCCA will provide the meat, burgers, hotdogs, etc. Participants should bring a side dish of sorts and remember to bring a way to keep it cold if it needs it. Please contact John Buckley, the event chairman if you have questions on what to bring, 907-687-5644.
After our potluck lunch, we will award trophies for the day's Solo Event and then start an extended fun run session. This gives members a change to ride or even drive other member's cars.In order to drive in fun runs, you must have registered for the day's Solo Event. Riders are allowed if they are above the age of 12 with a parent waiver and have filled out an SCCA member form.
