No Drones: SCCA does not permit personal drones at its events
Intended for anyone new to the sport or interested in learning the basics of autocross. Our novice school is designed for maximum seat time. Students will have an instructor, all day, as a guide from the right seat or to demonstrate behind the wheel. The morning session consists of drills introducing foundational autocross elements. The afternoon session will be an opportunity to apply the morning session’s key concepts on a full autocross course.
No prior autocross or performance driving experience is required.
Driver Entry Fee: $189
Includes lunch and use of a loaner helmet.
Attendance is limited to 48 entrants to ensure a ~2:1 student to instructor ratio. Sign up early before the school sells out.
Registrations above the attendance limit will be wait-listed and notified of any cancellations.
There is no discount for co-drivers, but 2 drivers may share the same car. Please register each driver separately and indicate if you are co-driving during registration.
Event Schedule
7:00AM - Check-in and technical inspection open. Please reference SCCA's guide: Preparing Your Car for Autocross
7:30AM - Check-in and tech close - NO LATE ENTRIES
7:40AM - Instructors meet with students, safety briefing
8:00AM - Morning driving session(drills - Revamped slalom for lost of practice)
12:00PM - Lunch (provided)
1:00PM - Afternoon driving session (full course)
3:00PM - Debrief and wrap up meeting

VEHICLE AND PARTICIPANT SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Vehicles must pass safety inspection. Closed-toe shoes are required (no sandals or flip-flops). No gas cans or fueling in grid.
All participants (drivers and passengers) must wear an approved helmet while on course. Please find the helmet details on this page:

Consumption of INTOXICANTS by participants & spectators is STRICTLY PROHIBITED
Drones: All SCCA events have strict drone requirements, please email info@sdrscca.com to inquire.
NOISE RESTRICTIONS
A maximum limit of 100 dBA @ 50' will be enforced for all participants.
WORK REQUIREMENTS
All drivers are required to work during their assigned work group.
SCCA MEMBERSHIP ISSUES
If you have a valid SCCA membership but the system indicates it is not valid, be sure your name in this system is exactly as it is on your SCCA card.
MINORS
A digital SCCA Minor Waiver must be provided for each minor (person under the age of 18). This can only be completed before the event and signed by all legal guardians of the minor.
