Renegade Miata Club 2026 Autocross Event #1

Devens Airfield

About this event

Our autocross events are an opportunity to learn and test your autocross skills.  We offer a friendly, competitve environment with experienced instructors.

Enrollment is limited to 80 drivers.

Please check RenegadeMiata.net or our Facebook page for news and attendance info.

All events are held at Moore Airfield in Ayer, Massachusetts (entrance at 90 Fitchburg Rd., Ayer, MA).

The sound restrictions for the 2026 autocross season are the same as 2025.
Cars may only be 8 dB over ambient at the property edge and may only be 87 dB at 75' under full throttle.

If you fail then you cannot run that car again that day.  You would be welcome to try to arrange a co-drive of a different car to finish out your runs that day.  Many of our club members are amenable to co-drivers.

We are told that there will be no second chances for a car that breaks sound, so please be sure you do what is necessary to quiet your car before coming to an event.

Gates open at 7:00 am. We recommend that you arrive as close to 7:00 as possible, but certainly no later than 8:00 as this helps us plan the event. Arriving on time ensures you will have plenty of time to clean out your car cabin and trunk (remove all loose items, car matts, etc), set tire pressures, put on car numbers and walk the course and helps our volunteers (tech inspection, sign-in, etc.) get ready for the event themselves. All drivers must be 18+ and present a valid U.S. driver’s license at registration. All events are rain or shine. Refunds are available if you request one by noon of the day before the event. You must wear closed toed shoes and a helmet when you drive. Helmets should be rated Snell 2010 or newer. As noted above, LOANER HELMETS WILL BE AVAILABLE ONCE AGAIN.

Other rules may apply. If you have any questions, please contact Autocross Chair Ernie Grasso.

SCCA rules, classing & helmet requirements  There have been no helmet rules changes from 2025 to 2026.  Appendix A has car classes. The 'Quick reference' sheet section lists modifications that determine category of car classes.

Vehicle Eligibility: No Jeeps, pickups, trucks, SUVs or Shifter karts.
