Drive toStalltek March 14th
The first Schonesland drive in 2020 will take place on March 14th as we are planning a drive to the Kalona Brewing Company in Kalona, (south of Iowa City) for lunch then continue onto Wellman to visit the Porsche restoring company Stalltek. Stalltek is a nationally renowned company that specializes in restoring air cooled Porsches.
We visited them about three years ago and it was a pleasant surprise to see their shop and their work.
Note: They are located about a mile off a hard surface road on gravel so bring your SUV or your regular car if you don’t want to drive your Porsche in March on GRAVEL!
We will be starting from the Cozy Cafe just off 86th Street north on I35/I80 in Johnston around 9:00. This is the same date as the Cars and Coffee so we will plan on a predrive discussion around 8:50 in the parking lot depending on the weather. Make sure you sign the waver form prior to departure.
