The GWS-MBCA is pleased to present a tour of Auto Motive Precision (AMP) Restoration on 2 March 2014 at 10:30 am. Mr. Andris Paza, president and owner of AMP will be our host for this exciting event. AMP's team is very detailed and is known far and wide for their work restoring German, British and American 'muscle cars' to their former glory. They are well-versed in restorations which meet or exceed factory standards; and have been serving the greater Washington area for 30 years. The GWS is fortunate to have this opportunity to tour this restoration facility. As a special treat, we will be able to view the restoring an a Mercedes Benz 113 chassis. AMP is located at 11018 Kemps Mill Road in Williamsport Maryland. Registration will be available at Motorsportsreg.com shortly. There is a minimal cost for this event and you must register in advance so that we may plan accordingly and make the necessary reservations.
For those of you who are interested, we will offer a one hour scenic tour of the area between Frederick and Williamsport. This tour will serve as a mini road-rally en route to AMP. We will meet at the Scenic Overlook (westbound). This scenic overlook is approximately five miles south of Frederick and is just beyond the welcome Center (and rest stop) located at mile 39 on I-70 at 9:15 am and will depart promptly at 9:30 am.
Following the tour, we will caravan to Schmankerl Stube Bavarian Restaurant in Hagerstown for their Sunday brunch. Brunch is at your own expense and will be approximately $20 per person + gratuity. Details regarding the brunch menu are available at the link above. Please let us know if you plan to join us for lunch so that we may make a reservation. This Sunday brunch is very popular and an adequate reservation is STRONGLY encouraged.
