2016 FLR Solo Event #4 - 2nd Annual Joel Ajavon memorial w/ Genesee Valley BMW club

Join the Genesee Valley Chapter of the BMW Car Club of America, the Niagara Region of the Porsche Club of America and the Finger Lakes Region of the
Sports Car Club of America for a day of competition with friends. This event will pay tribute to Joel Ajavon, one of the Genesee Valley Chapter’s
younger members who was tragically lost in a car accident in 2013.


All profits from this event will be donated to the Joel Ajavon Memorial Scholarship for a student studying engineering and robotics.
The day will start with a "Cars and Coffee" meet up in Monroe Community College Brighton Campus Lot M with coffee provided by Bruegger's Bagels.  The
Chef's Catering food truck will be present with their delicious breakfasts.

There will also be two raffles throughout the day:
The Niagara Region Porsche Club is offering attendance at a Driver's
Education event along with a garage space.

The Genesee Valley BMW Club is offering entry to one of their Taste of the
Track events.
Autocross entry fees will be collected by the SCCA and will be only $30 for BMW-CCA and PCA members running in the BMW club class or Porsche club class.
Proof of membership is required at registration.

No experience is necessary, helmets and instructors will be available.  All makes and models are welcome.
Chef's catering will also be available throughout the day for snacks and lunch.

All Fees will be collected at the event during registration check-in.  NEW this year we will accept credit cards at onsite registration.  

If you pay in cash or check payable to 'FLR-SCCA' you will receive a $2 discount off the registration fee.

 

 

Event requirements

All FLR Solo events will be held under the SCCA Solo Rules, except as noted in our Supplemental Rules located here: http://www.flr-scca.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/2015Supplementals.pdf

Entry Requirements:

·         Drivers must be SCCA members but adult non-members may participate by obtaining a weekend membership at registration for $15.

·         Adult Drivers must have a valid driver’s license.

·         Jr. Drivers must be a full SCCA member.

·         Proof of membership will be required at registration.

·         A current valid college student ID is required to receive the student rate entry fee.

Classing

In order to provide larger classes with more competition we run index classes corresponding with the SCCA categories based on the PAX indexing system. Please refer to the supplemental rules above for the full details.

Novice Class

Novices are welcome and run in their own class against other Novices. There will be a Novice course walk after registration closes where all the basics will be discussed about how the event is run. There will be time for questions and all Novices will have instructors available to them. The Novice class is for anyone new to autocrossing, even if they are an expert driver.

Entry Fees

·         $42 SCCA Member (Entry Fee) *

         $30 BMW-CCA and PCA Club Members

·         $27 SCCA Junior Member (Entry Fee) *

·         $32 SCCA Member with valid college ID (Entry Fee discounted by $10)  *

·         $57 Non-member (Entry fee $42 + Weekend Membership $15)

·         $47 Non-member with valid college ID (Entry fee$32 + Weekend Membership $15)

NOTE: All prices are for credit card payment.  Payment in cash or check will recieve a $2 discount.

*If you are registering as a member you must enter your SCCA membership information in MotorsportReg for validation. If this information isn't entered you may register as a non-member and show your membership card at registration and you will not be charged for a weekend membership.

 

If you do not have a helmet, we will have loaner helmets available.

 

Event Day Schedule:

8:00-9:30 a.m. Check-in/Registration and Cars & Coffee
9:30 a.m. Novice orientation and course walk
10:00 a.m. Drivers and spectators meeting
10:30 a.m. First car off
3:30-4:00 p.m. Competition ends, clean up, and awards and trophies.
