Welcome to Philly Region's 2013 Spring Novice School!
The school will consist of a classroom session and a driving session, plus the chance to show what you learned. There will be a classroom session at a TBD location on Saturday during the afternoon hours. The driving portion of the school will be held on the runway at Warminster Community Park on Sunday April 7th from 8:00 to 4:00 pm. Both the classroom session and the driving session will be taught by some of our finest national competitors. In the classroom session we will be discussing the finer points of car control. The Saturday session is mandatory for those wishing to enter the school. The cost of the school is $125 for SCCA members and $135 for non-SCCA members. Lunch will NOT be provided on Saturday, however will be provided Sunday. We will have hoagies for lunch on Sunday, so please select your preference on the registration form.
Each student will also receive one free entry to a Philly Region Solo event (not including weekend membership fees) as part of the entry fee for the Novice School.

From North of Philadelphia:
I-95 North. Exit 37- West on Route 132 (Street Road) for about 10 miles. North on Route 332 (right onto Jacksonville Road). The second traffic light will be Bristol Road, turn right. At the next traffic light, there is a gate on the right, turn there.
From South of Philadelphia:

Bear right after the toll booth to north on Route 611. Follow Rt. 611 for about 4.5 miles. East on Route 132 (right onto Street Road). Follow Rt. 132 for about 3.5 miles. North on Route 332 (left onto Jacksonville Road). The second traffic light will be Bristol Road, turn right. At the next traffic light, make a right turn through the gate.

Event requirements
This event will be capped at 30 participants.
General Requirements
Drivers with more than two years of autocrossing experience are not eligible to participate in the novice school. Two driver cars will be allowed but not recommended. All Participants must have a valid driver’s license or learner’s permit and be at least 16 years of age.

2. If a participant is under 18 years of age, a minor waiver form must be signed by both parents/guardians. This form can be found here and must be signed in the presence of an SCCA member or notary.
SCCA Membership
All students must be SCCA members, or must purchase an SCCA weekend membership. The cost of this weekend membership is included in the $135 Non-SCCA Member registration fee.
School vehicle and safety equipment:
Vehicle: The Philly Region requires that you have at least TWO functioning seats along with functioning safety equipment for each seat. ALL Cars must pass a standard SCCA Solo safety tech inspection, which entails wheels on solid, tight battery, and all loose parts in the car, trunk and under the hood are removed. Cars will be taking multiple runs. Please be advised that if your car overheats, has clutch problems, or any other issues under these conditions, you might want to consider other alternatives.
Helmet: You should have properly rated helmet, Snell M or SA 2000 or better. If you do not we will have a limited number of loaner helmets in various sizes. All SCCA Solo rules will be strictly enforced.
