EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
The primary focus of this event is SAFETY, FUN, and LEARNING in an enjoyable, relaxed, and organized school setting. This is not a racing school, a race, or practice for racing. At no time will you be pushed or encouraged to go any faster than is comfortable for you.
New! Course Configuration - we will run the Buttonwillow road course on the #1 Star Mazda configuration all three days.
Friday: Counter-Clockwise.
Saturday and Sunday: Clockwise.
New! Entire event is Experienced Driver Days – All days will have the Open Pit Lane format that is very popular with our experienced drivers. All days are limited to previously soloed students and Instructors. Not driving Friday? You will need to arrive early Saturday morning for check-in at the track. There will not be a formal Friday evening program.
The club hopes to provide appropriate educational opportunities at the event in a manner consistent with then-current restrictions.
New! Driver Meetings and Banquet
We will not be having a Friday evening meeting or the Saturday evening Banquet.
There will be a mandatory online meeting held on the Wednesday evening before the event (link to the meeting will be sent out to registered attendees several days before the meeting). Attendance at the online meeting is required to participate. If you do not attend you will not be allowed go on track until you have been briefed by the eventmaster at the track. This will result in substantial delay before you are allowed on track.
There will be some short mandatory safety briefings held at the track. These will be held outdoors under the canopy in front of the tower. Attendees must observe social distancing protocols during these briefings.
Convertibles and SUV - We remind you that Audi Club North America allows many models of convertible cars and selected small SUV/CUV cars (for example Q3, Q5, SQ5) at our driving school. There are a few restrictions, so see the Details below.

One day rate - $295
2 day rate– $525 (can be any mix of the 3 event days) Save $65
3 day rate- $750 Save $135
The registration fee for each day includes:
Meals – Lunch on each day. Sack lunches will be prepared in advance and can be picked up at the Tower Cafe. There will not be a group banquet due to Covid protocols. Social Distancing will apply during meal times.
Hat- Every Registration includes a souvenir event hat.
New! DRIVER REQUIREMENTS
Due to Covid-19 concerns Audi Club will not be providing beginner or novice instruction at this event. The event is only for solo-qualified C-Intermediate drivers, D-Advanced drivers, and our Instructors. Includes more open track driving time than you or your tires can probably handle! All Audi Club HPDE policies are in effect during the event including passing rules (only in designated passing zones with use of turn-signals/blinkers).
Please register early - We don’t charge your credit card until a month prior to the event and we have a generous refund policy for timely or illness-related cancellations.
Late registration (within about two weeks of the event) is highly discouraged, is solely at the discretion of the organizers and, if approved, will be subject to an additional $100 fee.

LOCATION
Why do we hold our driving event on a closed road course, even though we are not racing? We do so to enhance safety, as it is a controlled environment with fewer distractions and unknowns than found on the public roadways. ALL activities will be held at Buttonwillow Raceway Park, 24551 Lerdo Hwy, Buttonwillow, CA 93206, (661) 764-5333.
Lodging - There are nearby motels, or you may camp in the paddock. There is no designated headquarters hotel for this event. Detailed Motel listings are in the Confirmation you will receive after you register.
PREREQUISITES
We encourage everyone to Download and Read the Audi Club SoCal HPDE Event Detailed Requirements and download and print the mandatory Safety Inspection Form ("Tech Form") from the club's webpage at www.audiclubsocal.org/driving-school/. You must bring the completed Safety Inspection Form with you to the event.

Vehicle Requirements
Helmets Participants must bring and wear their own motorsport helmet bearing Snell SA2010 (or later) or Snell M2010 (only) certification. This certification label must be accessible for verification for the helmet to be allowed. Snell M2010 helmets (motorcycle) are only permitted in cars without supplemental roll-over protection (without roll bars) and will not be allowed after the end of this year. Motorcycle helmets with only a DOT rating are not permitted. Audi Club SoCal rental helmets will NOT be available at this event for sanitary reasons.
Event Policies - These policies apply on all three days of this event.
Passing Protocol Passing will only occur only by permission in designated Passing Zones.
Passengers are discouraged at this event. If permitted by applicable regulations at the time of the event, passengers should be from your own household/group, both front windows must be fully down at all times, and all car occupants must wear a mask or balaclava covering the nose and mouth. This applies even if wearing a full face helmet with closed visor. ACNA requires that if there are two occupants in a car, at least one must be an instructor approved by Audi Club SoCal.
Guests To reduce exposure to communicable disease please limit the non-participant guests you bring to this event to an immediate family member / household member of the participating driver.
Compliance with Communicable Disease Protocols To protect the health of participants, staff and others, this event will operate in compliance with all relevant government and ACNA requirements and guidelines. Social Distancing and Face Coverings will be required at all times while away from your personal pit area i.e., while moving about in the facility. Your full cooperation is needed to protect the health of all involved, to preserve the good reputation of our club, and to ensure the ability of the venue to continue holding similar events. Whatever your personal opinion of the protocols, if you cannot comply (or chose not to comply) please do not attend this event. Violators may be asked to leave and no refunds will be given.
Waivers All participants and guests must read, understand, and sign Audi Club North America's Liability and Communicable Disease waivers using SpeedWaiver before arriving at the track. Instructions are in the Registration Confirmation webpage / email you will view / receive immediately upon registering. Retain the resulting Speedwaiver credential page on your smartphone and be prepared to show it when entering the track and when picking up your packet at onsite check-in.

Garage Rentals Buttonwillow Raceway Park has enclosed day garages available for weekend rental. Garages include lighting, power, and compressed air. There are eight private garages and eight semi-private garages. Each garage will accommodate two cars; you are encouraged to make your own arrangements with fellow participants to share a garage. To rent a garage please call the track at (661) 764-5333. The cost per two-car garage is $100 for Friday and $200 for Saturday/Sunday).
HPDE Insurance Does my regular insurance policy cover my car at this event? Probably not! This article tells you how to find out: Personal Auto Policy Guide. If you find your regular policy excludes coverage, you may purchase special HPDE insurance for your car while participating in this Audi Club driving school. Find the right policy for you and your car by searching the web for "HPDE Insurance" as there are many alternatives available.
