General Site Guidelines

1. ALL PETS AND ANIMALS MUST BE LEASHED OR CONFINED. NO ANIMALS ALLOWED IN GRID.

2. ALL MINORS MUST BE UNDER DIRECT PARENTAL OR GUARDIAN SUPERVISION AT ALL TIMES.

3. NO SMOKING ON SITE.

4. WE ARE GUESTS ON A PRIVATELY OWNED SITE. KEEP SPEEDS UNDER 10 MPH WHILE ENTERING AND LEAVING THE SITE. THERE IS A HOUSE ON SITE WITH YOUNG CHILDREN, PLEASE WATCH OUT FOR THEM.

5. OUR SITE IS LOCATED IN AN AMISH COMMUNITY. PLEASE BE COGNIZANT THAT YOU MAY ENCOUNTER HORSES AND BUGGIES ON THE SURROUNDING ROADS. PASS WITH CARE AND TRY NOT TO SPOOK THE HORSES.

Event Format
This is a sanctioned Sports Car Club of America Solo event held under the 2021 Solo Rules and MiDiv Series Rules. A minimum of three runs each of the two days will be allotted.

Local Services

While we are the Wichita Region, our autocross site is located in Yoder, KS about ten miles south of Hutchinson, KS. Keep this in mind when looking for lodging.

Gas stations, car wash, grocery, restaurants, fast food and auto parts stores can be found about 10 miles north of our site in Hutchinson, Kansas.

For Saturday meals we highly suggest Carriage Crossing Restaurant and Bakery located right in Yoder only about 2 miles away from our site (just beware they're closed on Sunday)

Another local restaurant to keep in mind is Bull's Eye Grill also located in Yoder right down the road from our site (also closed on Sundays)

Safety and Conduct
Spectators and competitors not working must view the course from outside the designated course area. Speeding, burnouts, tire-warming, and other inappropriate activities at or near the site are potential grounds for event disqualification at the discretion of the series solo steward, event chairperson, safety stewards, or their designees. In grid and paddock, please drive slow and be mindful of people, cars, equipment, and oncoming traffic sharing close quarters. A limited number of loaner helmets will be available. If using one during a run, please return it to the loaner helmet area.

Run/Work
Run/work assignments will be pre-assigned based on the entry list, and in a manner that balances heat sizes and worker coverage. Changes in class or no-shows may demand a change in heat arrangement. Workers should be ready to report for work before their heat begins. Heat change overs will be brief. Please listen for announcements made by the Chief Of Workers and be on time for your work assignment. Lateness may be taken as a no-show, and result in a disqualification.

Vehicle Identification and Marking
Car numbers and class must meet the minimum requirements outlined in the Solo Rules. Shoe polish is not acceptable.

These newer classes were introduced by the SCCA  and allow mostly open modifications. XS-A and XS-B are split by minimum vehicle weight. 

XS-A: AWD: 3000 RWD: 2750 FWD: 2500

XS-B: RWD: 2150 FWD: 2000

SCHEDULE:

7:30 to 9:00 AM   REGISTRATION and TECH  Course open for walking.  Arrive no later than 8:15 AM

         REGISTRATION:  Sign SCCA Liability Waiver

         TECH:  Empty car, have your Number and Class on both sides of car, drive to TECH area, and stay with car. Wear your mask. TECH by Driver at the direction of TECH Chief.  

9:00 AM  Novice Course Walk at Trailer

9:20 AM  Driver's Meeting All must attend 

9:30 AM  First Car on Course

Wichita Region Annual Tech Waiver:  available for experienced Solo Drivers who participated in a minimum of five (5) Wichita Region Solo Events in the past twelve (12) months.  Print form and bring to TECH.  http://wichitascca.org/forms/WichitaRegionSCCAAnnualTechApplication.pdf

SCCA Insurance Waivers:  ALL Forms will also be available on site at registration.  All SCCA forms must be printed in color.

Minor Annual Waiver:  all are annual waivers and must be printed IN COLOR. The first page is for both parents to sign; the waiver is not a lawful document without both parent signatures.  The second page is for the minor participant to sign and must also be witnessed and signed by an adult SCCA member on both pages.

SCCA Covid  Guidelines:

Notice to Participants: In light of the current COVID-19 situation, every attempt will be made to minimize the risks of exposure to the virus. New processes and procedures are being developed and will be put into place for events going forward.

Ultimately, it is your responsibility to assess the risk to you, both on-track and off, and to make the decision on whether or not to participate. If you are feeling unwell or are experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath please stay home. If you have been in contact with someone who has been experiencing these symptoms in the last two weeks, please stay home.

While on site please take the health and safety of your fellow participants, volunteers and staff into consideration and practice social distancing, wear a mask, and wash your hands and/or use hand sanitizer frequently.

If you are diagnosed with COVID-19 within two (2) weeks of attending an SCCA event, we ask that you notify the event organizer immediately.
