About this event

The Arctic Alaska Region, of the Sports Car Club of America, will be sanctioning it's second Championship event of their of the 2010 South Central Alaska Solo Series as a part of the Bear Paw Festival Weekend — Road Rally on the 8th, Car Show on the 9th, Solo on the 10th, and RallyCross on July 11th!

The Solo Too will be held at Alaska Raceway Park, which is located off Sullivan Road on the Old Glenn Highway. The course is going to be designed by James Helton, who has always given us creative and fast courses to challenge competitors! Event Chairman Kevin Cose will be serving with Doyle Miller at Tech and David Oliver as the events' Solo Safety Steward.

Schedule for Sunday Morning
7:00AM - Solo Team Arrival
8:30 AM  -  9:00 AM - Registration Hours
9:15 AM - Walk-thru with Instructors
9:45 AM - Mandatory Driver's Meeting for all Competitors!!
First Car on Course Immediately Following Driver's Meeting - The Fun Begins!

You will be given an event credential (wristband) after you signed the Event Waiver as you enter the site. It is best to arrive early so you'll have time to settle your gear, prepare your car, get through Tech, Registration and walk the course! All competitors will need to come by the Registration Tent after Tech — both those who registered online and those who choose to register at the event Sunday morning. Note that Registration is only open for 30-minutes event morning.

Our Driver's Meeting will include a brief talk by the Safety Steward and the Solo Team will cover the responsibilities each of you will have while working corners during your "work group"! This event is a go—rain or shine—and as you'll be working opposite your "run group" please bring hats, layers for body warmth, sunblock/lipschitz, and foot wear for the elements.

The Region will be providing water and coffee in the morning, bring your own lunch and as there are no restaurants nearby, you will not be able to leave the site to travel into Palmer. We will be taking a lunch break between rungroups.

Please arrive early to allow time to settle your gear, prepare your car, get through Tech Inspection and Registration before the Walk-Thru. Remember, all loose items will need to be out of your car and your battery will need to be solidly secured—no bungee cords!

Don't forget your Driver's License!

Event requirements

REGISTRATION and ENTRY FEES
All competitors are encouraged to pre-register (versus "event morning" registration) at the official online registration site for 2010 Solo events: www.motorsportreg.com for the Saturday, July 10th Solo. For those who would prefer not to utilize paypal, please contact Jeff Lynn, Registrar, 250-2324 for alternate payment options.

Advance registration for Saturday's event will aid our planning prior to the event; entry fees will be $30 for SCCA Members and $35 for SCCA Weekend Members, which is the Season entry fee.

Another reason to register online? You will save money!

Okay, there are lots of options here, yet I'll try to make it simple! Entry fees shown are for SCCA Members and then SCCA Weekend Members. A Weekend Membership fee makes you an SCCA Weekend Member and will give you a $15 discount towards a full SCCA membership, a copy of "SportsCar" (our national magazine), and is valid for the all SCCA-sanctioned events held during that weekend.SUNDAY Championship Solo ONLY with Lunch
