Event requirements
This is an open track event. Essentially, there will be a short drivers meeting to go over the details, then it will be open track with a reference checkered flag every 20 to 30 minutes. Cars can come and go at any time during the open session. Due to this format, it is recommended that you have some experience with the HPDE format. Passing is initiated with a point by the driver being overtaken. Please contact us if you are unsure of your qualifications or have additional questions.
The track is 3+ miles long and has 20 turns. There will be more seat time than you can stand. Please bring everything you think you may need to run hard for two days. There is a noise limit at the track. That limit is measured two ways. In the paddock, cars may be screened by measuring sound at a distance of 15' in front and 15' in the rear of the car. 100 dBa is the limit with any spike over 104 dBa being an instant fail. At speed on track, cars may be measured from a stationary position to the side. Cars exceeding 92 dBa may be black flagged.
Please use the supplied link for directions to the track. Obviously, as the track is located in the Canadian province of Ontario, you folks from the states will be required to show your passports at the border. Be prepared to show all your info pertaining to your car/trailer/tow rig etc... You don't want to have the kibosh put on your trip by some technical detail at the border. In short.....have your papers together.
