After many years going to Wrightwood from La Canada, now this tour comes from the other direction, from Redlands
On Saturday, April 14, 2018, GPX will start in Redlands and climb into the San Bernardino Mountains for a day of driving the "Twisties".
We will start at the parking lot of the Corner Bakery, 402 No. Orange Street, Redlands, CA 92374. Drive up HWY 38 for a stop at the Big Bear Discovery Center. At the west end of Big Bear Lake merge onto HWY 18, the Rim of the World HWY, then onto HWY 138 then HWY 2 into Wrightwood. We meet for lunch at the Grizzly Cafe, 1455 HWY 2, Wrightwood, CA 92397

We will meet at 8:00 AM and depart promptly at 9:00 AM.

The destination of the drive will be the Grizzly Cafe Wrightwood, where those of us who are so inclined, can have lunch at the Grizzly Cafe.

The Tour ENDS in Wrightwood, but possible return routes are listed below.
1. Return through Wrightwood on Highway 2 to Highway 138, and then on to the I-15 Freeway South
2. Those who love the Angeles Crest Highway, return to La Canada on HWY 2
This is a “Rain or Shine” event.

From the West:
Take the I-10 Fwy. East towards Redlands
Take Exit 79 and continue on Pearl Street, Turn Right on Orange Street, Turn left into parking lot at the corner of Stuart and Orange- 402 No. Orange Street, Redlands, CA 92374
Communication during the tour will be by GMRS Radio (walkie talkies) in channel 7, Sub-channel 20
