Note that special procedures will be in place for this event:
- PCA waivers will be signed electronically using SmartWaiver. Instructions will be provided.
- All participants must wear a mask when outside of their car at the starting location and at any stopping points along the route.
- No drivers meeting will be conducted; Driving Directions and other tour information will be provided to registrants via email
Depart Friday, Nov. 13 from Denny's restaurant in Fountain Hills. Drive up Beeline (AZ-87), lunch on the Rim at Pinewood Tavern in Pine, then on to Winslow for afternoon check-in at the historic La Posada Hotel. Informal gathering on hotel grounds between check-in and dinner. Dinner is on your own, but the simple (and elegant) option is to dine at the the award winning Turquoise Room, accessible through the lobby of the hotel. Reservations are suggested and they are currently seating up to 10 at single grouping of tables. Call 928-289-2888.
Saturday: Breakfast on your own, but most would enjoy the Turquoise Room menu. Drive to Petrified Forest National Park and Painted Desert. Dinner at Turquoise Room.
Sunday: After breakfast drive to Meteor Crater for a group tour. The event ends with this tour; you are a short distance from Flagstaff (for lunch) and I-17 home, or you could double back to Winslow (45 mins) and return on the Beeline Hwy to Fountain Hills/East Valley.
Make your room reservations for Friday & Saturday Nov. 13 & 14: La Posada Hotel: 928-289-4366. We have set aside a block of 20 rooms, under "AZ Region of PCA," with rates starting at $129/night + tax. You will be billed for both nights up front, but you may cancel for a full refund 7 days before the event. Unbooked rooms in the block will be released Sept 28th, so make your reservation soon after you complete your event registration on MotorsportReg.
