This is a two day high performance driving school which will benefit anyone who wishes to upgrade their driving techniques. This course will help prepare a driver for circuit racing, and successful completion will gain eligibility to apply for a CACC Novice Race License.
Schedule:
April 2 - 09:00 to 15:00 - Classroom Sessions. Will break for lunch (Not provided).
Location: Howard Johnson Hotel, Elk Lake Room, 4670 Elk Lake Dr, Victoria, BC
April 3 - 08:30 to 15:00 - Track Sessions. Will break for lunch (Provided)
Location: Westshore Motorsports Park, 2207 Millstream Rd, Victoria BC
Note - Classroom sessions are not optional. A no-show for the Saturday classroom sessions will not be permitted on track Sunday.
Event requirements
REQUIRED PERSONAL EQUIPMENT:
Helmet conforming to Snell M2010 / SA2010 or newer.
Wearing apparel of cotton or wool, under and outer wear.
Open top vehicles: Goggles, helmet sheilds, or full visor. Safety glasses permitted in closed cars with windshields only.
Flexible, closed toe shoes.
VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS:
Seat belts for driver and passenger conforming to Transport Canada MVSR 209 OR SFI 16.1, in two-seat cars.
Competition style roll bar in open cars.
Tires, brakes, steering, and suspension in excellent condition.
On COVID-19:
The classroom portion is indoors, so masks and proof of vaccination are mandatory for this event. It is possible that restrictions may be lifted before the event takes place but we are proceeding on the assumption that they stay the same as they are now.
We ask that you not attend the event if you show any symptoms of COVID-19. In the event that you need to cancel due to feeling unwell or have tested positive for COVID-19, please contact us immediately so that we can fill your registration spot and let someone else attend.
