Greg Moore Raceway

About this event

Try-A-Kart Program. May 12th from 4.30 - 6.30 PM

Always wanted to try out karting, but not quite ready to purchase one? This program is for you! West Coast Kart Club, in conjunction with the associated kart dealers, now offers a try-a-kart program!

You can choose to drive a 4 stroke or 2 stroke fully equipped race ready kart! THIS IS NOT AN INDOOR RENTAL KART! These are professional racingkarts driven at international level.

We will be offering 2 options:

Option 1: 4 Stroke Briggs & Stratton LO206. This engine platform is very popular in North America due to it's relative low cost in purchase, maintenance and running cost. The LO206 class is known for it's very strict rule set. There are virtually no engine modifications allowed resulting in close and exciting racing for all levels.

Price $ 99+ tax for 2 10 minute sessions.

Option 2: 2. 2 Stroke125 cc  Rotax. The Rotax engine has been around the block and back. This extremely reliable engine package is fast. This is the real deal! All over the world the 2 stroke karting classes are marked to be the most exciting form of racing.

Price $ 149+ tax for 2 10 minute sessions.

Upon arrival you will get an introduction into karting, a track walk and assistance of our dealers. All safety equipment such as a suit, helmet and gloves will be provided.

Hooked on karting after trying the kart? West Coast Kart Club will waive the $50 new member fee for anyone who participated in the try-a-kart program. Furthermore, the participating dealers will refund the balance if you purchase a used or new kart from one of the participating dealers!

Event requirements

Anyone over the age of 7 can participate in the try-a-kart program. We will have karts and engine packages available for all ages. All participants under the age of 18 years have to be accompanied by a legal guardian.

Safety equipment will be provided. Please indicate length/weight of the participants in order to prepare the karts and safety equipment.

All participants will have to sign a liability waiver, and if applicable, a minor waiver.
