Come join us for a short driving tour that ends up at the Vehicle Research Institute (VRI) on the campus of Western Washington University in Bellingham. The tour stars at the McDonald''’ near the Tulalip Casino and Seattle Premium Outlet Mall, and winds through the back roads of western Washington with a stop in Edison at The Bread Farm for either a quick snack or to pick up goodies to take home.
Then its on to Bellingham via the popular Chuckanut Drive. The students from WWU will present a program about VRI and demonstrate how they design, build and then compete with their prototype vehicles. PNWR has sponsored VRI with our largest donation of the year over the past several years, so come see first how they use the funds in their unique program. It will be an education! Pizza and drinks will be provided prior to the presentation and facility tour.
Event requirements
Tour Requirements:
- Cancelations and refunds: Cancelations accepted until May 6th. There are no advanced payments required for this tour.
- Car club membership: To participate you should be a member of the PCA and PNWR. Porsche owners who are not members may register with the tour chair and receive a special invitation on a case-by-case basis.
- Non-Porsches on the Tour: Non-Porsches are only allowed on a case-by-case basis under extenuating circumstances (car in the shop, awaiting delivery of a Porsche, etc)

For Adult participants and attendees: All drivers and passengers must sign the Waiver Release Form, which will be provided at the tour starting point. There is no need to download, print and sign the form in advance.
- Age and driver's license restrictions: All drivers must be at least 16 years old and in possession of a valid US driver's license at the time of the Tour. A driving permit is not acceptable. For participants under 18 years old, the participant and his/her parents must sign an additional waiver and the participant must attend with at least one parent or legal guardian.
- Registering for Passengers: Please make sure to include the names of any passengers riding with you in the space provided during registration. If you have two cars on the tour each car and driver should register with a separate Motorsportreg account.
