SRR Instructional Event April 24-25, 2021

Rocky Mountain Emergency Services

About this event

Are you:
   - Excited to get back on an autocross course, but have some winter rust that you need to knock off?
   - Relatively New to AutoX?
   - Not progressing within the sport as much as you would like?

If you answered yes to one or more of those questions, we have the perfect event for you.

SRR will be hosting a 2-day instructional event in beautiful Helena MT the weekend of April 24th & 25th.

We will start Saturday with an informal classroom session, going over how the day will run, AutoX basics, and introductions. After the classroom, we start our right-seat instruction. We will focus on one typical autocross element at a time, giving you time to focus on improvement on each typical element, not chasing a time.

Instructors will ride with drivers most of the day Saturday, & as much of Sunday as drivers wish. When they're not riding, they will be watching and giving pointers when you complete the run.

Sunday will be timed competition-style runs. Starting the day with a guided course walk and 3 runs. The course will then be reversed and 3 more runs. While at lunch, the SRR crew will be re-setting the course. Allowing for 3 more runs.

Things required for the weekend:
   - A well-rested version of you
   - A maintained car
   - Eagerness to learn and improve

Plan to attend, & encourage fellow racers to attend.
We look forward to seeing you all there!

We will be opening registration for this event on Motorsportreg.com shortly
under the name "SRR Instructional Event April 24-25"
The cost will be $200 for the weekend, or $125 for a single day. Money well
spent that will help set the pace for a great 2021 autocross season

Planning on staying on-site?

We are fortunate to use this facility for our sport.  Please help us continue to have an excellent relationship with the facility and track management by keeping their rules in mind:

Please do not enter the runway or road course areas of the track until a Region 105 official allows entry.

We can park trailers and campers in the gravel parking area as well as the adjoining area to the west of the administration building parking lot.

We CANNOT park or camp east of the administration building, and never in the gravel area circling the fire training planes or by the white fire station building.

We also CANNOT park for an extended time in the parking lot for the two-story administration building.

The facility does not allow any hook-ups to facility electrical or water service.

When parking trailers, campers, or motor homes, please conserve space.

Tents are allowed in the grass area between the two pads but DO NOT use tent stakes. There has been damage to the sprinkler lines in the past from the stakes. Please bring something heavy to hold down your tent so that the wind cannot lift it and blow it onto the track. Tents must be removed from the grass by 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
