San Francisco Region SCCA Season Opener Regional Thunderhill Raceway March 7-8 Regional Races 1 & 2 Entry Fees: Double Race $455 Single Race $305 Dual (extra class, same driver, all or part of weekend) $199 Late Fee (entering the week of the event) $30 Enter Now, Pay Later! SFR will charge your credit card AFTER the race weekend. When you register for a race, you enter your credit card information; after the race weekend, we actually process the card. Now there’s no money barrier to entering early, ensuring you retain your all-important permanent number! Enter by midnight Sunday, March 2 to avoid the $30 late fee . Online entry closes Wednesday, March 4 at 12 noon; after that you will need to enter at the track and pay the $50 post entry fee. CAR NUMBERS are NOT confirmed until Monday afternoon the week of the event. If you have a "reserved number" AND you enter before deadline (Thursday the week before the event), you WILL be assigned that number. Otherwise, we CANNOT assign your number until Monday the week of the event. - If you do not already have one, create an account on MotorsportReg.com after reading these steps.
- Once logged in, click "My Account" in the top right
- Review your vehicle(s), making sure to enter your permanent/preferred numbers and your transponder number
- Enter your medical information for the Ambulance/Life Support crew.
- Now come back to this page and enter the event and pay online.
Event requirements
To enter any SFR road racing event, you must have a valid competition license.
In addition to SCCA licenses, the organizations whose licenses are currently approved by SCCA for competition in Regional events are as follows: BMW CCA Club Racing Full Competition; FIA Issued by any sanctioning body; Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) HSR License; ICSCC; IMSA; NASA Full Competition; Porsche Club of America Full Competition; SCCA Pro Racing; SVRA; VARA; VMC.
All vehicles must meet the safety requirements detailed in the current SCCA General Competition Regulations. Transponder numbers are required for ALL CARS. If you do not have a transponder listed in your vehicle profile, you MUST rent one.
