Join us for our Winter Car Control Clinic at Lime Rock Park. This event is geared towards improving driver skills and learning to push the limits of your car while driving on a ½ m autocross and wet skid pad.
- 30 min classroom covering vehicle dynamic, oversteer, understeer, threshold braking, and most importantly fine tuning your car control
- Multiple configurations, up to 3/4mile and the ability to alter the course depending on weather conditions.
- Open to all drivers, no experience necessary
- In-car instruction for all drivers
- Safe & controlled environment
- Limited to 20 participants
- Race car rentals available
Lime Rock Park Proving Grounds:
Autocross Track: ½ m, adds the challenge of braking & compound corners
Skid Pad: gives drivers a chance to find the traction limit & balance the car at the limit
Combined Course (Autocross & Skid Pad): ¾ m, with a mix of wet and dry conditions for an extra level of challenge
*SCDA cannot guarantee the weather will cooperate. We will run even without snow!

Event requirements
🛡️ SAFETY & TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Age Requirement: 18+ or 16-17 with parental waiver ⏳
- Helmets: Only required for cars with a rollbar
- SNELL SA2020 or newer (no motorcycle helmets) 🥽
- Helmets are available for rent if needed
- To purchase a helmet, visit one of our preferred vendors
- Clothing: 👕👖👟
- Street Cars: Long sleeve shirts, long pants, closed-toe shoes.
- Race Cars: FIA or SFI Rated race suit, gloves, race shoes
- Vehicles Not Allowed: Motorcycles 🚗
- Sound Limit: 88db 📢
- Most cars with street legal exhaust systems will be under 88db sound limit
- Responsibility: Drivers responsible for track damage 💸
- Tech Inspection: Not required, but we expect you to have a car in safe operating condition and empty of loose items. 🔧
🏕️ AMENITIES:
- Paddock Space: For personal tents/canopies, trailers ⛺
- Camping: Not available, overnight parking allowed in outfield lot by gate on White Hollow Rd
- Food: not available 🍔🍕
