Hello SASC Members! The SASC AGM will be held on Sunday, November 20th, 2022, 1:00-4:00 pm.
Location: Grey Eagle Casino
With 83 club members this year, we require a minimum 20% representation at the AGM per club bylaws (so 17 members attending or by proxy). Your attendance is very much appreciated and helps shape the club for the future. The existing meeting minutes from the 2021 AGM will be posted on the SASC Forum prior to the meeting.
The agenda will be as follows:
- 1:00-1:10pm - Welcome & Snacks
- 1:10-1:25pm - Presidents Report (John for Jared)
- 1:25-1:40pm - Solo 2 Report (Bob)
- 1:40-1:55pm - Financial Statement (Dallin)
- 1:55-2:15pm - Other Business (see below)
- 2:15-2:30pm - Break
- 2:30-2:45pm - Election of Executives & Appointment of Volunteer Positions (John & Bob)
- 2:45-3:15pm - Club Championship Awards (John, Bob & Dallin)
- 3:20-4:00pm - Q&A (John, Bob & Dallin)
Light snacks and non-alcoholic refreshments will be provided.
Other Business - there will be two non-binding motions raised during the AGM to allow the membership input on decisions required for the 2023 season:
- The use of electronic waiver forms was made mandatory this year by the club's insurance coverage. The executive would like input on how to handle electronic waivers for members who are not able to complete them with their own cell phone devices.
- Club costs for holding events have increased during the last couple of years while event and membership fees have remained constant. The executive would like membership guidance on how best to handle fee increases for the 2023 season.

I would also like to encourage others to get involved with the club in either an executive capacity or steward capacity. The official positions are as follows:

Safety / Sound Steward
Equipment Steward
Novice Steward
Grid / Workers Steward
Registration / Waivers Steward
There are also other folks who don’t hold an official position but are instrumental to the success of this club so getting involved is easy if you’re looking to do so in a more informal way.

Lastly, annual memberships for the 2023 season are now open in MSReg(http://msreg.com/2023SASCMembership). Membership pricing will be held constant for the remainder of 2022 - it is expected the new executive will review membership pricing in the new year when they take over.
