Frederick County, Maryland, Covered Bridges Driving Tour, and Joint Picnic Meet - Saturday, May 27, 2023

Please join us for a lovely drive to explore the Covered Bridges of Frederick County off Route 15, North of Frederick, and enjoy a self-hosted picnic lunch.

Bring your own delicious gourmet lunch, beverages, picnic hampers, blankets, and chairs for an alfresco gathering.

We will meet at the northbound weigh station directly off Route 270, just past Exit #18 Clarksburg at 10:00 a.m.

Our distinguished caravan will depart promptly at 10:30 a.m.

We will visit three covered bridges, in the following order:

1. Roddy Road Covered Bridge

    14760 Roddy Rd., Thurmont, MD 21788

2. Loy’s Station Covered Bridge / Picnic Grounds

    13506 Old Frederick Rd., Rocky Ridge, MD 21788

3. Utica Mills Covered Bridge

    7720 Utica Rd., Thurmont, MD 21788

After our tour of the Covered Bridges, we will head to Frederick to explore the charming city with all it has to offer.
