About this event
Our first General Membership meeting for 2017 will be held at Phoenix Performance on March 20th from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Phoenix Performance, 481 Schuylkill Road, Phoenixville, PA 19460, provides maintenance, tuning and diagnostic services for foreign and domestic cars and trucks as well as performance upgrades and tuning for street and track cars. The facility is also home to Phoenix American Motorsports. Managed by Phoenix Performance LLC, Phoenix American Motorsports represents a effort in the Pirelli World Challenge Series, and competes in SCCA events and builds cars to SCCA specs.
Our program will include a tour of the race shop, a discussion about race car preparation and driver goal setting for the new racing season - whether you are a club racer, autocrosser, or rallycrosser. We will also see a demonstration of the car dyno with a T1 Corvette Z06 and one other car. Possibly yours (especially if you own a small, RWD Japanese convertible).
We are also going to talk about our Region trip to the March Lion Club Race Test Day / Driver's School / PDX at NJMP on April 1 & 2. There will be a presentation about the many opportunities to volunteer at local club races and get the best seats in the house to see terrific road racing.
Pre-registration is requested so that we can know how much pizza to order. There is no charge for this event, however attendance is limited to 60 people and advance registration is required. If capacity becomes a problem, we do reserve the right to give Philadelphia Region SCCA members priority to attend, however members of other clubs and regions are welcome to pre-register as space allows.
