Join us on Saturday, November 12, for a fall scenic tour through the hills and valleys north of Los Angeles.
We will set out from Sunland-Tujunga for a beautiful but lengthy drive. The morning leg will be about a 2 ½ hour drive, up Big Tujunga Canyon Road to the Angeles Forest Highway, which we will follow into Palmdale. Once in Palmdale, we will take a short pit stop and afterwards proceed west on Lake Elizabeth Road, eventually connecting with Route 138. When we reach Gorman, we will continue into Frazier Park for lunch.
Around noon, we will have lunch at Big John's Mountain Grill in Frazier Park.
After lunch we will drive south to Ojai via Lockwood Valley Road and Route 33. This leg of the run will be about 1 ½ hours and the run will officially terminate once we reach Route 150, just outside of Ojai. The remainder of the afternoon is yours to enjoy Ojai and return home at your leisure.
Registration for this event is required. There will be a $10 car fee at sign up (per car, not per person), but please indicate the number in your party since we need an accurate count of the participants for lunch at Big John's.
We will meet up at a location in Sunland-Tujunga at 8:00 am, and the group will depart promptly at 9:00 am. Once you have registered, you will receive the address of the starting point on the confirmation page, as well as in an email.
