About this event
Welcome to Oregon Region SCCA Autocross.
Autocross seems very simple – use traffic cones to make a mini-road course in a parking lot or airport and see who can get the lowest time without hitting any cones or going off course.
Despite the low overall speeds attained during competition, it’s one of the most intense, rapid-fire forms of motorsports you can enter, with barriers to entry low enough that many drivers are able to be quite competitive at it. Autocross is a fun, easy, and safe way to learn the limits of your car. It is also a social event. It is part race and part car show. Come for the competition and stay for the camaraderie. Or vice versa!
Event requirements
Event Format
Participants will be in one of two run groups (first run group or second run group), with each group getting around 4 to 6 runs. If there are enough participants we will run three run groups (run, work, rest). All cars within a class will run in the same run group. Just like with national level events and other clubs, when one run group is running, the other is working the course. OR-SCCA only counts the first 3 runs towards event points, subsequent runs are non-scored "fun runs".
Event Schedule
6:30 - Site opens and setup up starts
7:30-8:30 - Driver check In, work assignment and tech inspection open
8:30 - Course closed for walking
8:45 - Drivers Meeting
9:00 - First Car on course
For Packwood and Sanderson Field events we usually host a Test-N-Tune on Saturday afternoon after the competition event. It costs $20 for almost an hour of as many runs as you want. You must participate in the competition event prior to be able to do the Test-N-Tune.
Entry Fee
$35 Per day
Non-SCCA members need to pay an additional $15 for a weekend membership. You only need to pay for this on the first day if you are attending both days of a weekend.
You must register for each day on a weekend separately.
