Event requirements
- Drivers and Passengers must be 18+ (We allow 16+ on a case by case basis. Please email us at info+help@ongridtrack.com)
- SA2005 or newer helmet
- A tow hook or strap is required on the car. Tow hooks underneath the body do not count (wet conditions). The driver of the vehicle is liable for any damages sustained while the car is being towed. Your tow hook or strap must be on the car prior to entertaining the race track.
- Inside the car you should ensure there are no loose objects that may fly around.
- Aftermarket 4 point racing harnesses are not allowed. ASM rated or OEM 4 point harnesses are allowed.
- Vehicles may not enter the track if they are leaking any fluids.
- Numbers are required on both sides of the car and must be 6 inches tall and 3 inches wide or bigger. Taped numbers are not allowed. You must use vinyl or magnetic numbers or door cards.
- Convertibles are required to have roll over protection. A vehicle with factory pop-up roll over protection is allowed to enter the course. Drivers and passengers with convertibles must pass the broom stick test. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us: info+help@ongridtrack.com

How To Preform Broomstick Test:
- Put helmet on and get in the car
- Place one end of the broom/stick on the top of the windshield and the other end on top of the roll hoop/bar, behind your head
- The broom/stick must not touch your helmet nor your head, in order to pass the test and to be allowed on track.
HPDE:
GROUP 1 (Beginner)
- This run group is intended for drivers with little to no previous track experience. Generally 0-3 track days worth of experience.
- This group allows drivers to focus on becoming more comfortable during High Performance Driving Events (HPDE), along with allowing each participant to become familiar with the correct racing line, track rules, and proper track etiquette without being pressured.
- Point By Passing is mandatory and only allowed on the straights. No passing in corners allowed.
- This group will spend time inside the class room along with a full day worth of sessions on track creating a solid foundation for driving events.
GROUP 2 (Low Intermediate)
- Group 2 is similar to group 1, however it is designed for drivers with more experience and a greater amount of awareness then group 1 drivers.
- This group is interned for intermediate drivers with a good understanding of track etiquette and awareness.
- Four (4) days of road course experience is the minimum requirement to qualify for this run group or a qualified racing school (Simraceway, etc).
- Point-by passing is allowed anywhere on the course and is mandatory.
GROUP 3 (High Intermediate)
- Group 3 is designed for drivers with a higher skill set then group 2 and are in the process of transitioning into our advanced groups.
- This group is intended for drivers with a high understanding of track awareness and etiquette.
- Nine (9) days of road course experience is the minimum requirement to qualify for this run group
- Open passing is welcome on straights and point-by passing is required for passing in corners.
GROUP 4 (SLOW ADVANCED)
- Group 4 is intended for advanced drivers with slower cars.
- Thirteen (13) days of road course experience is the minimum requirement to qualify for this run group along with specific lap times, per course, are required to qualify for this group.
- Group 4 and group 5 have the same rules and regulations.
- Opens passing is allowed everywhere on the course, by any driver, in this run group. Point-by passing is recommended, but not required.

GROUP 5 (FAST ADVANCED)
- Group 5 is our fastest run group.
- Twenty (20) days of road course experience is the minimum requirement to qualify for this run group along with specific lap times, per course, are required to qualify for this group.
- Group 5 is built for the fastest vehicles and drivers at any driving event OnGrid hosts.
- Open passing is allowed everywhere on the course, by any driver, in this run group. Point-by passing is recommended, but not required.
- This run group is based around lap times and track experience.

OnGrid reserves the right to change you from the group you originally registered for, into another group, if we do not feel you meet the criteria for your registered run group. Please make sure you register for the appropriate run group.
These are generally our run groups, however sometimes we modify and add a School Group or any extra groups if needed to accommodated drivers and keep the car count in groups low.
Our events are ran no matter the weather.
