Mini Moto is based on the following supplemental regulations
Speedy Goat Mini Moto Track Day Regulations
Event:
- This is a non-timed, non-competitive mini moto practice and lapping day event
- There is absolutely no racing, scoring, or formal competition.
- The overriding objective is a controlled environment dedicated to rider safety, skill acquisition, and machine tuning
- This event will occur within Mission Raceway Park’s “Auto-X/ Gokart Track"
- The course will be configured to limit maximum speed while on course
- The Director - reserves the right to move a rider to a different run group
- The event chair reserves the right to further inspect a bike that is deemed to be unsafe, violates the classing rules, or in other ways goes against the spirit of the rules and competition.
- The event chair reserves the right to not permit a rider or bike from participating.
Mandatory Age
Minimum Age Limit: The absolute minimum age for any on-track participant at this event is 10 years old.
Age Overlap Guidelines: Because this track day separates riders based on skill level and pace rather than a crowded racing grid, youth riders (ages 10–15) and adult riders are permitted to share the active track simultaneously within their designated run group. To optimize safety, the following structured age groupings and recommendations must be enforced:
- Youth Placement Policy (Ages 10–15): All riders within this bracket are strongly recommended to begin their event in the Novice or Relaxed run groups, regardless of their bike's performance capabilities. This prevents high-velocity closure-rate disparities from advanced adults.
- Advanced Youth Exceptions: If a rider aged 10–15 possesses an active competitive racing license with an established mini-moto club, they may petition the Director for placement in the Intermediate or Advanced groups. Approval is at the sole discretion of the Director following visual observation of their control during the opening session.
- Adult Placement Policy (Ages 16+): Adult riders will self-classify across the four run groups based on experience. The Director will actively monitor speed differentials and will mandate a group transfer if an adult's pace threatens the safety of a youth or beginner in a slower session.
- Run groups will be prescreened by event coordinators and will be closely monitored and adjusted to adapt to any speed disparities during the event.
Machine Requirements & Bike Inspection
Each bike must pass technical inspection prior to being allowed on course. If you do not pass the technical inspection you will not be issued a refund. It is the riders duty to ensure they are operating a safe vehicle. The rider must have permission from the registered owner of the vehicle to use the vehicle on track. The Director withholds the right to refuse entry to any vehicle deemed unsafe.
- Fastener integrity & Seals. While full competitive safety-wiring is highly encouraged, it is not strictly mandatory for this non-timed event. However, all oil drain plugs, oil fillers, and oil filters must be torqued to factory specifications. Any spin-on style oil filter must be mechanically secured with a metal hose clamp or sealed with high-temp silicone/safety-tape to prevent rotation.
- Brake pads (min. 30%), fluid has been recently flushed and brakes are firm
- No cracked brake rotors
- Steering components are tight
- No loose suspension components
- No leaking fluids
- Battery is secure
- Throttle and clutch cable can move freely through the full range and return to disengaged on their own accord
- Proper tires and tread depth for the weather

- No part of the machine may extend past a line drawn vertically 6 inches past the rearmost part of the rear tire.
