Marina Madness Flyer July 2018-a.docx Welcome to the registration page for one of Santa Clara Corvette's autocrosses. SCC was created in 1975 and has been offering a variety of activities for Corvette enthusiasts in the SF Bay Area ever since. Non-Corvettes are quite welcome at our autocross events. While there will be a formal competition going on for Corvettes that are part of the Western States Corvette Council (WSCC), non-Corvettes are included in the results and get ranked in with the Corvette results. You can see how you did against all of the drivers there that day.
We strive to give 5 runs to all entrants each day, and you are welcome to register for two run groups for twice the fun. On Saturdays, we often have fun runs after the 4th run group, charging a nominal fee.
Event requirements
You will be asked to sign a waiver or two as you enter the site. You must have a valid driver's license to compete. If you are less than 18 years old, you must have a Minor Waiver filled out and signed by a parent or guardian. They are available at the registration table, or by e-mail if you ask. This is required for either driving or riding along. A helmet meeting SNELL SA 2005 requirements is required for all drivers and passengers. We have a limited supply of loaner helmets available if you don't have your own. Most any car in good condition can be autocrossed. We do not allow any vehicles with a high center of gravity (like trucks on lift kits). No prior experience is needed. We offer coaches to help out if needed.
We require you to work in one Run Group for each one you drive. Work can involve the cone stations out on course, timing table duty, handing out time slips, getting waivers signed, or others. Run Group 1 and 2 are a set -- if you drive in 1, you work in 2, and vice versa. Same with 3 and 4 in the afternoon. If you sign up to run in two run groups (morning and afternoon), you must work in two run groups.
Also there will be mandatory Drivers' Meetings before the morning run groups and before the afternoon run groups. These happen at approximately 9 AM and 1 PM.
