Albuquerque Balloon Festival 2022

Join Lone Star BMWCCA for our fall tour to New Mexico, The Land of Enchantment. This October (1st-8th) we are heading to the 50th annual Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. This tour is a destination adventure to explore over 500 balloons participating in balloon glows, races, and mass ascensions. After the Balloon Fiesta we will head north to the laid-back charm of Taos, New Mexico. For more information on the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta https://balloonfiesta.com/.
We will be leaving Dallas on Saturday, October 1st, spending the night in Lubbock, Texas, then on to Albuquerque for three nights at the Hotel Parq Central. The Parq Central is locally owned, beautifully restored and unlike any other hotel in the city. Hotel Parq Central is a luxury boutique steeped in the history of Albuquerque. We will spend two full days visiting numerous balloon events.
On Wednesday, October 5, we'll drive the back roads to Taos. We will be staying on the historic downtown plaza in Taos at the Hotel La Fonda de Taos.
While we are leaving Taos on Friday, Oct 7th, Trinity Site National Park (site of the first atomic bomb) is open to the public on Saturday, Oct 8th (1 of the 2 times a year it is open)) south of Albuquerque. Please let Dennis know if you plan to travel outside the group to Trinity Site.
On Friday, October 7, we will head to Amarillo for the night and then return to Dallas on Saturday, October 8.
Reservations for the Hotel Parq Central and Hotel Fonda de Taos will be made here on this site. The room arrangements will be selected during registration from a select list of reserved rooms at the hotels. The description of the rooms and/or room number will be provided.
On Saturday, October 1, on the way to New Mexico, we will spend one night in Lubbock and then on the way back to Dallas on Friday, October 7, we will spend one night in Amarillo at My Place Hotel.

There are eight hotels located on the southwest side of Lubbock near Loop 289 and Route 62. Dennis Luczycki, the tourmeister, is staying at the Arbor Inn and Suites, address below. If there is no availability at Arbor Inn and Suites then select any one of the hotels in this area.
