It's time again to celebrate with other Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts at the GWS summer picnic, Mercedes-Benz show and Flea Market. So bring your car stuff and sell it, swap or trade it! Bring your car, this is a judged show, by MBCA rules, as well as an informal show of member’s cars!
We have been invited back to GWS Member’s Steve and Barbara Newbys home in North Potomac MD for this annual event which includes the GWS club store and Silent Auction! Expect some excellent bargains, as we put sale prices on club store items!
Advance registrations for this event help us determine how much food to order and how many cars to expect for the show. The advance registration cost per attendee (21 and over) is $20 – guests (and members) under 21 get in free with registered members. We will offer registration on-site at $25 for each person 21 and over.
As in years past, there will be fun, good food, this time catered by Red, Hot and Blue, The bar will indeed be open, as we provide great food and other goodies. Along with the food, we provide cold beverages (sodas, water, and beer) as well as a nice selection of wines. You want to see a terrific selection of fine Mercedes-Benzes, well this is the event to attend! Your garage a little overflowing with car stuff? Bring it to sell, swap or trade at the GWS Flea Market!
One focus at the picnic is raising funds for charitable donations. We do this three ways: A silent auction; a 50/50 raffle; and tips given for the services provided by our volunteer bartenders and cooks. We encourage everyone to contribute one or more items to the auction (no white elephants, please).
If you've reached a five-year multiple (5, 10, 20, etc.) anniversary as a club member, you can claim your (free) membership anniversary pin at the picnic.
Event requirements
Choose to register for the picnic, and if you want to show your car in the GWS Summer Concours or not. Of course if you have extra stuff you want to sell, swap or trade, the Flea Market is just the right place to do that!
Cost is $20 per person to attend the picnic (Prior to 6/30) $25 late registration, Concours Entry is $15 Flea Market space $15, to be submitted with your registration. Kids under 21 Free with registered attendee.
