There’s so much to do in Charleston South Carolina and early spring is a fun time to experience the Low Country! Don’t miss enjoying a weekend in South Carolina's Low Country around the beautiful and historic Charleston area. Registration for this will be limited to the first 15 couples (28) who register for the weekend. Don’t delay in signing up. This is due to the maximum seating on the tour two buses (14 + Driver). We will have a waitlist in case of cancellations, But there is no guarantee that there may be any cancellations don’t wait until the last minute to sign up.

Our group Hotel is the Hampton Inn at Patriots Point. We have 15 rooms reserved for the Mercedes-Benz group. Reserve your rooms early, there are only 15 rooms reserved for us.

Below are preliminary agendas for the self-tour days Thursday, Friday, and Sunday for the weekend:

Thursday April 25 - Travel Day for Thursday, Friday and On Your Own Tours and Saturday Planned Events and Guided Tours

Friday April 26 – Travel Day For Saturday Guided Tours or On Your Own Friday Tours.       

Friday April 26th Early arrivers can explore Charleston on their own.

Recommendations:

  1. Fort Sumpter Fort Sumpter Tours (Allow 2.5 Hours)
  2. Patriots Point (Parking Fee and Admission Fee)
    1. Yorktown aircraft carrier “The Fighting Lady” from WW II
    2. Destroyer USS Laffey – “The Ship That Would Not Die”
    3. Vietnam Basecamp
  3. The Angel Oak on James Island
  4. Charleston Museum Located Downtown at 360 Meeting St (Admission Fee)
  5. Dinner on your own or with a small group of friends.

Saturday April 27 – Planned Events Guided Coach Tours

Note: We did not include the Fort Sumpter tour on the Saturday agenda as the tour takes approximately 3 hours and needs to be booked through a different tour company. If interested in a Friday or Sunday Fort Sumpter Tour, contact Fort Sumpter Tours

Saturday’s Tour includes two vans each seating 15 passengers. The tour fee is calculated for 30 attendees and is $100.00 pp. If we get less than 30 attendees the tour fee will be the same as we will just purchase the Boone Hall tickets for those people registered.

  1. Saturday Guided Tour includes van(s) with tour guide(s).

Below is the Saturday itinerary:

8:30 am P/U Hampton Inn Mount Pleasant

9:00 am Drop off the group at Fort Moultrie on Sullivans Island – Tour free on your own or get a guided tour with a guide Pay cash at the Visitor Center. We recommend small groups for paid tours.

10:00 am Depart  Fort Moultrie

10:30 am Arrive at Boone Hall: Admission included in price.

12:30 pm  Depart Boone Hall

1:00 pm  Arrive at Charleston City Market for Shopping, Touring, or  Lunch on your own.

3:00 pm Pickup at City Market

3:00-4:30 pm  City Tour: Driver/Guide tip included.

5:00 pm Drop group back at Hampton Inn Patriots Point

2. Group Dinner 6:15 PM at The Refuge Restaurant  1517 Palm Blvd suite a, Isle of Palms, SC 29451. Travel on your own to dinner. Carpooling is suggested.

Sunday April 27 – Travel day back home or continue to explore Charleston on your own.

Recommendations:

  1. Fort Sumpter Fort Sumpter Tours (Allow 2.5 Hours)
  2. Visit the Hunley submarine https://www.hunley.org/weekend-tours/
  3. Visit the Magnolia Cemetery to pay respects to the three crews of the Hunley.
  4. The Angel Oak on James Island
  5. Magnolia Plantation (Plan 4-5 Hours)
  6. Patriots Point (Parking Fee and Admission Fee)
