About this event
Due to facility damages at the Caraway venue, the June 12 event has been moved to Rockingham Speedway. NC
We will be running a Roval on the "Little Rock" Martinsville speedway clone located behind the backstretch.
Nothing else has changed.
One of our core values in starting M4theM was to create a learning platform that assured fully trained, truly prepared, excellent track-day participants that can hit the ground running at our future track days. Caraway, along with the Summit Washington circuit are a final bridge between lower-speed venue SCDEs and our full-course Track Days.
At this event, you will learn all the procedures and rules of a Track Day but do so on a racecourse that is one safe step larger and faster than an autocross course. You will encounter longer than AutoX straights and true braking zones where almost all cars will be exceeding maximum interstate speeds once or twice a lap. Unlike our smaller venues, the course at Caraway requires shifting and offers multiple point-by locations. At an AutoX, you read cones, at an advanced SCDE you follow an actual mini road course layout and run multiple laps at a time, sharing the track with others as you learn excellent on-track and situational awareness habits as well as how to properly and safely execute point-by passing.
Participating in this event alone COULD even qualify you to drive solo in our upcoming M4theM full course track days such as our September event scheduled on the Summit Point Jefferson Course. Your qualification will be dependent upon your performance and our instructor evaluation during this SCDE. Nonetheless, you will be ready to start ahead of all other true track day novices and be well on your way to solo certification for full racecourses.
Another plus to M4theM SCDE is NO WORKING! Just like at a track day, we supply trained marshals at all positions, just arrive and drive.
Finally, we capture your lap times. The only way you can judge your progress towards consistent solid laps and driving skills is through the clock. While SCDE is not a competition format, we do allow participants access to their times to judge skill progression. Lap times can be found on our Webscorer server as found on our website and update throughout the day. (when internet/cell service is adequate).
Our SCDE events are broken up into 2 sessions; Morning from 7 AM to 12 PM and Afternoon from 12 PM to 5 PM.
Each participant will drive in 4 individual 10 to 15 minute long continuous lapping sessions. No point to point like AutoX, just keep making laps.
Registration and Tech will be open at 7 AM and again at 12 pm for the afternoon session. The driver's meeting will be at 7:45 and 12:45 respectively.
Either session will provide you with up to 40 minutes of run time. *
The all-day pass avails you of up to 1 hour and 20 minutes of run time. *
The regular entry fees for this track are $120 for a Morning or Evening session and $210 for both sessions. Early Bird Pricing is $110 for a half-day AM or PM session. Early Bird will end Sunday, May 23 so act now to save $10.
Limited novice spots are available. This is an advanced course with higher speeds and shifting. It has runoff and but restricts space more than other tracks. Because of this, we must be able to provide all beginners with a dedicated in-car instructor. We'll provide you with an in-car or lead follow instructor until you are ready to go it alone.
What are you waiting for?
* Track time may be affected by event schedule, mechanical issues on track, or weather. Track time is not guaranteed but we will do all we can to make sure everybody gets the amount they pay for.
Drivers must download and fill out the self Tech Sheet and bring it to the event. Drivers should read the M4theM SCDE 2020 1.61 Rules. Tech Sheets and rules can be found in the red boxes found HERE (right click and open in new tab to stay in MS.Reg as well)

Drivers must have a helmet in good repair that fits their head properly. DOT motorcycle approved at minimum. SNELL M or SA helmets are preferred. There are no date limits on SNELL helmets but the helmet must be in good repair. Please contact the event organizer if you do not have such an appropriate helmet.

While you are free to drive any tires you want, we urge serious AutoX competitors to not bring their competition tires as a half-day of SCDE is the equivalent of an entire season of AutoX. If you have higher treadwear tires, we strongly recommend them for this discipline.
