ON-TRACK HPDE, drivers will tackle the 14 turn, 2.279 Mile track and learn more about how your car handles in complex turns that have curbing, camber, and elevation changes that adjust the cars grip - sometimes in the middle of the turn!
OFF-TRACK: For all participants, Dynamic Auto Tune will provide a hot dog/brat/hamburger lunch. Anybody arriving Monday evening will also have the opportunity to visit the FasterSkunk Grill for some additional grilled fare, and perhaps a beer.
VOLUNTEERS: Those who want to experience the action, excitement and festivities of a track-day are not limited to drivers. Tech Officials, Registration help, Hospitality, and more are absolutely welcome at the event and at meals. Helping as a volunteer, worker, or official costs nothing (you even get some goodies such as an option to enjoy your car on track during the Paced Lapping sessions).

-
Check-in: Will be at Driver Information, located in the conference room in the main building before the gate, OR at the front of the garage areas.
-
Tech: Will be located in the Paddock at the front of the garages, next to pit lane. If you DO NOT have advanced safety in your car (Advanced Safety = Aftermarket belts, seats, roll-over protection, etc) you DO NOT need to bring your car to tech, just the tech sheet. If you DO have advanced safety, please bring your car and park in the impound area. If you have a question about your numbers you may have Tech check them.
-
Helmets- If you have a 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, or 2022 SCCA issued Helmet Sticker, be it from TT, TNiA, Solo, Road Racing, or RallyX- you are good for this event. If you do not, please bring your helmet to tech. Approved ratings for this event will be M2015, M2020, SA 2015, SA 2020. Audi Club Carolina's does have a few loaner helmets available. Should you need one for this event, please reach out to the event lead (Rob Wilmoth). They will be reserved on a first-come-first serve basis *after* you have registered, however we can tell you how many are left.
-
Paddock and Masks- At this time masks are not required for this event. There are parking spots which are reserved for RV's as well as garage reservations. As long as you're not parked in one of these spots, you may park in any grass area you like. Please note that CMP is in the sandhills of South Carolina. This also comes along with it fire ants. They are not friendly.
-
Drivers Briefings - 8 am Tuesday morning. Drivers are required to attend the drivers meeting. If you do not attend this, you will not be allowed on track.
-
Participant Cancellations - All sales are final. You may transfer your entry to another eligible person prior to the close of registration for the event. Payment is due upon registration.
B. PASSING & TRACK PROCEDURES: Passing for all run groups will be done by point-by in the following scenarios:
Novice: Point by on specific straights only
Intermediate: Point by on any straight section of track
Advanced/Instructor: Point by anywhere it is safe to do so
C. CLOTHING: Drivers are required to wear the minimum clothing outlined in the Audi Club Performance and Driver Education document. Safe apparel must be worn in the pits at all times (shirts w/ some type of sleeve and closed-toe shoes).
D. PACED LAPS: We will be offering paced laps based on the schedule above. There will be no helmets required, and passengers are allowed on paced laps. No tech forms will be required. Each person on-track during the paced laps will be required to have either an event-driver wristband, or sign a separate waiver. Paced laps will be conducted at highway speeds (~50mph). Anybody found to be "holding back" to get a lot of speed will be asked to leave the event. If you wish to drive faster than 50mph, please plan to join us for the hot-session.
E. PITS AND PIT LANE: The speed limit on pit road is 25 mph. No tire scrubbing in the pit lane prior to entering the course. There are no working pits at this event. Only Event Staff and Officials are allowed in the "pit" areas.
F. IMPOUND: Drivers will report to impound for post-session debriefs immediately following each session.
G. TIMING: While personal timing devices are allowed, there will be no formal timing or scoring for this event.
H. FLAG PROCEDURES: Black Flag Station and other event-specific flagging procedures will be announced at the event.
I. EVENT SCHEDULE: Actual session start times may be delayed from the published schedule due to unforeseen circumstances during the event. It is the driver’s responsibility to listen to the PA announcements and pay attention to the activity on track. The schedule or run groups may only be changed (or start times advanced) at the discretion of the Event Lead, with concurrence by the Safety Director, depending on pre-race entry counts or as needed to accommodate situations during the event.
J. COMMUNICATIONS: We will utilize PA announcements for most onsite communication. Sometimes we will text or email updates as well. Radio frequencies used by event officials may be monitored but shall not be used for communication by any participant.
DRIVER ELIGIBILITY:
The event is open to all drivers with a valid state driver's license and a full membership to Audi Club North America. If you don't have a membership you can join when you register.
A. MEDICAL: Please notify the Officials of any pertinent medical condition(s).
