The SCCA Philadelphia Region SOLO Summer Series

2019 Annual Holbert Memorial Event!

Points Event #5 & #6

Supplemental Rules:

Special Event:  This charity event is a special 2-day autocross event held under SCCA Rules and hosted annually by the Philadelphia Region of the SCCA.  This year’s charitable contribution in honor of Al Holbert will go to Warminster Community Park and the SCCA Foundation in support of the teen driving program TireRack Street Survival.  In the past, this has been Philly Region’s biggest event of the year with more than 200 participants including some of the best solo drivers in the Northeast United States.

*Please note that Day 1 and Day 2 will be held at Warminster Community Park.

The Holbert Trophy:  This event features a special 'Holbert Trophy' for the driver whose combined best times from both days produces the lowest indexed time.  The 2019 PAX index multiplier will be applied to all drivers.  Everyone has a chance to win the 'Holbert Trophy.'  Last year’s winner, Ryan Lower, will bring the Holbert Trophy back to determine who gets to take the Trophy home for 2019.

Class Trophies and Points:  Class finishing position trophies will also be awarded for each day of competition, Saturday and Sunday, per our standard Philly Region Supplemental Rules.  Season points will also be awarded for Saturday and Sunday as individual events #5 and #6.

Competitor Rules:

  1. Each competitor must compete in the same class both Saturday and Sunday to be eligible for the two-day Holbert Trophy. Running a different class on each day will disqualify that competitor from the Holbert Trophy award.
  2. Each competitor must compete with their respective class unless prior approval is obtained from that competitor’s fellow competitors in the same class. Should a competitor compete in a separate heat from their class run group without pre-approval from the other competitors in the class, that competitor will not be eligible for the Holbert Trophy nor will class points be awarded.
  3. Competitors competing for the Holbert Trophy may not be a passenger in another competitor’s car prior to or during their respective run group. This applies to instructors as well.

Passengers: During this event competitor passengers will NOT be permitted.  Our novice drivers may still request to have an instructor ride will them, but co-drive passengers allowed under our normal Supplemental Rules will not be permitted.

Registration:  The cost of this 2-day charity event is $85 for SCCA members.  Registration for a single day of competition is available at $50/day for SCCA members.  Non-members may purchase temporary weekend memberships for $10.  This membership is good for both days of the weekend.

Entry Cap:  Entries to this event are limited to 180 participants.

All-Day Format:  This event will be run using a full-day format as outlined in the 2019 Philly Region Solo Supplemental Rules.  All competitors must check-in at the Registration Table and go through Tech Inspection in the morning.  There will be no Registration Table or Tech Inspection on Sunday for anyone who competed on Saturday.

Philadelphia Region has eliminated Ladies Class. However, for 2019, a maximum of four (4) drivers can register to co-drive one (1) vehicle in the same class. Notice must be given in advance by pre-registering online AND contacting the registrar.
