About this event
This invitation-only ACNW Instructor Clinic is for Audi Club Northwest (ACNW) candidate instructors or current Techncians and Instructors from ACNW, BMWCCA, PCA or other recognized organizations.
This full day together will reinforce existing instructor's skills, and get us all "on the same page" when we work with new drivers in the club schools and driving events. It is intended to carry forward the ACNW tradition of steadily-improving our Instructor corps.
The objective for the day is to learn how ACNW runs its events, to establish expectations for instructors, carefully review the role of the ACNW Instructor, and practice conducting sessions with your student. The ACNW Instructor Clinic will include more track time as well as static and in-car instruction. This is an all-day event and our schedule will be full so come out to the track rested and prepared for a fun and challenging day.
Very much like last year, this 2018 event will focus on peer-to-peer instruction and development.

This is important business for the club. We need more good instructors. The day promises to be serious fun!
Your cost is $250. This will include a significant amount of on-track time at Ridge Motorsport Park ("RMP", still called "The Ridge").
A $50 discount is provided for those helping at University of Quattro on February 25th in Monroe <msreg.com/UnivQuattro18>.
Lunch is included. There will be water, and possibly other refreshments, at the track during the day.
We'll open the gates at 7:30 am and close the day at dusk at the latest. Careful preparation should be given to your car. You will get lots of seat time! There will be no real students. Established instructors will be riding with you all day, or you will be riding with them. We will all be tired at the end of this day.
Space will be limited to ensure this plan works. You must sign up early. Audi Club also has the track on Sunday 3/25 and you can sign up for that HPDE event at <msreg.com/SofQ2018>.

Invited instructors from Porsche Club or BMW Car Club may attend the ACNW Instructor Clinic using their current valid membership from those clubs. Everyone else will need a current Audi Club North America membership; please check yours and renew if needed.

Event requirements
Everyone must sign the Release and Waiver for Audi Club Northwest’s insurance coverage when coming onto the facility. This requirement includes drivers, instructors, teens, guests and visitors. The full text of this Release and Waiver is on the next screens. Please read it and contact the Event Master or Registrar prior to the event with any questions about these important documents.
Please indicate the signoff in your Log Book for driver skill level when that question appears in the registration process. Instructors will be available for anyone who wants coaching, and for those who are not signed off to Intermediate (solo).

Helmet Requirement for this event is Snell SA2010, M2010, SA2015, EA2015 or later. Except for Snell M2010, the M (Motorcycle) and K (Karting) designators have lapsed. We have 28 Snell SA club helmets in various sizes available for rent ($25) on a first come, first serve basis If you still need a helmet but they are all rented out at the time of your registration, please make a note in the registration comments that you need one. We cannot guarantee that one will become available however. You will not be allowed to participate without a helmet.
Safety Inspection (Tech) Policy:
For every event, ACNW requires two (2) signatures on your Vehicle Safety Inspection Checklist form. View this form HERE.
- The signature at the bottom is yours. It is your car and we need you to take responsibility for its safe condition and operation.
- It is ACNW’s expectation that your car will be inspected per the areas of emphasis on the Vehicle Safety Inspection Checklist form, by someone in addition to you. This should be a dealer, a local shop, or any other person you believe has the technical knowledge and experience to properly inspect your car for safety. . Ultimately it’s your responsibility to confirm that your car is safe to operate at the event, and ACNW strongly encourages you to be honest with regard to your own mechanical abilities/knowledge. Should you feel capable and confident in inspecting your own vehicle, it is permissible for the second “Inspected by” signature to be your own.

On the morning of the event, you will turn in your completed tech form for a tech sticker.
