INWR Tour Columbia Basin

About this event

This two day tour will be an incredible opportunity to experience the unique geological features and landscapes from the Ice Age Floods in the Lower Columbia Basin and areas near Grand Coulee Dam. Led by a Washington State Licensed Geologist and Porsche aficionado, learn about these magnificent features and the tremendous forces that created them.

On day one, the tour will begin in Pasco; traveling north to Scooteney State Park, Drumheller Channels, lunching in Royal City enroute to Vantage and the Ginko Petrified Forest State Park Interpretive Center. We will then drive to Frenchman Coulee and lastly view the impressive Crescent Bar Dunes west of Quincy.  Participants will then be led on a 36-mile tour to dinner venue in Wenatchee.

We will finish the day with dinner at the Residence Inn, Wenatchee. Evening dining is included in the registration fee of $75 which covers a buffet, no-host bar service, and a gratuity.

Lodging is not included in the registration fee and participants are responsible for making their hotel reservations wherever they choose. The Residence Inn has 15 rooms blocked out that must be reserved by Wednesday, March 20 before they are released to the very busy spring tourist season. The hotel website is:
