2022 GMR Annual Meeting & Tour

Sugarbush Resort

About this event

Join your fellow members for the Green Mountain Region’s Annual Meeting & Luncheon on Saturday, October 15 2022 at the Sugarbush Resort in Warren. The meeting and luncheon will take place in the Castlerock Pub at the base of the mountain closest to the Super Bravo Quad chair lift.

In addition, there is a short driving tour from Williston to Sugarbush that is being organized and led by Lou Krieg & Ann Pettyjohn (Scroll down for further details).

Annual Meeting & Luncheon

The GMR Annual Meeting is scheduled to begin at 12.30pm with Lunch service beginning at 1.15pm. During the lunch service we will conduct a raffle with some neat prizes and remote-control racing.  The Pub reserved from noon through  3.00pm so there should be plenty of time to conduct the official business and more importantly, plenty of time for socializing. Weather permitting, we will also have access to the Pub’s patio. This year's meeting is especially important because we will hold elections for the four officer positions (President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary), approve the 2021 Annual Meeting Minutes and have a member Open Forum.

The cost for lunch is $40/person. The menu will include Montreal Grilled Chicken Breast (boneless breast of chicken with cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce and sliced tomato served on ciabatta bread brushed with chipotle mayo), Hummus Wrap (garlic hummus with baby spinach and roasted vegetables served in a flour tortilla wrap), Turkey Time (smoked turkey breast, Swiss cheese, crisp bacon with lettuce, tomato and cranberry mayo served on focaccia bread) accompanied mixed green and pasta salads, whole fruit, soft drinks and assorted fresh baked cookies.

Greater Burlington Area Tour

The driving tour to Sugarbush Resort is being organized and led by Lou Krieg & Ann Pettyjohn. Despite the title the tour is open to all GMR members. The route will pass through the Appalachian Gap, over lots of recently new pavement, plenty of "twisty bits" and elevation changes. The gathering point will be at the Southbound I-89 Information Center (rest area) in Williston, just south of Exit 12. Among the villages the tour will pass through are Richmond, Hinesburg, Starksboro and Buell's Gore, past Mad River Glen, Fayston and into Warren and the Sugarbush Resort. Driving time is estimated to be about 1 hour 15 minutes.

Participants should plan to arrive at the Information Center by 9.45am. The tour will depart from the Information Center at approximately 10.30am and will be preceded by sign-in and the drivers meeting.
