2017 Hastings GP (aka Race To The Dark Side)

This will again be a two day racing event on Saturday and Sunday at Motorsport Park Hastings with an available Friday afternoon of test and tune (see below) If you have not yet traveled to Hastings, you owe it to yourself to experience this cool facility and track [Track Map] and see how this local community welcomes us. We strive to make this a fun weekend with abundant track time as well as a great social component.
You say you want to experience seeing a full eclipse of the sun? Well, MPH has arranged for a Special Eclipse Viewing Event! There will be a Monday eclipse viewing at the track on Monday the 21st called "The Day The Lights Went Out In Hastings" Anyone who has paid for RV parking or camping for Friday and Saturday may remain on-site Sunday night at no addition charge. The eclipse will be total in Hastings and is scheduled to begin Monday at 11:34 AM. More details at http://www.racemph.com/event/secret-event/.
The social aspects of the Hastings event:
- Friday night we will be hosting a reception for racers and local business leaders, who will be thrilled to see our cars. A free Barbeque dinner will be provided.
- A free Event T-Shirt.
- Saturday evening, we will again have our famous Nebraska steak dinner. Purchase dinner tickets when you register. As usual George Anderson, the track owner, will have some more entertainment for us. Block Party!!!
Weekend Add-Ons to arrange with the track:
- Friday Test and tune ($125) will start at 2:00 (alternating open/closed wheel session) until 6:00. [More details here]
- There are 16 new garage spaces available in the main paddock area, just adjacent to the grid. Garage rentals are $150 for the weekend. Contact George Anderson (ganderson68901@gmail.com) to reserve a garage space.
- RV spots Spots are $100 payable to "RMVR" Contact Mary Popejoy, club administrator. to arrange (email admin@RMVR.com) or call her at 303-319-3062.
- Camping is $10 payable to "MPH". Arrangements made with George Anderson (ganderson68901@gmail.com)
- If you need fuel, please contact George Anderson ganderson68901@gmail.com. He will take orders up to Tuesday the week of the event.

Event requirements
PLEASE NOTE: If the car you are registering does not have an RMVR log book, or a log book from a VMC organization, and has not been invited by the Event Chair to participate in this event, the car will be reviewed to ascertain if it meets RMVR's criteria for so-called "Exhibition" cars which says it should be "of special interest to vintage racing." If it does not meet any of those criteria, the car's entry may be denied. If so, you will be contacted and no entry fees will be charged. However, cars in an "Invited Special Run Group" will be accepted.
RMVR Requires Fuel Cells for all production and formula race cars running our Regular Run Groups.
- Late Fee Policy: $25 late fee will automatically be charged for entries made after 10 days prior to the race. $50 if registering at the track.
- Cancellation Policy:On cancellations later than 72 hours before the event, the Race Entry Fee, less a $25 Cancellation Fee, will be refunded. Call 303-319-3062 for all cancellations.
