All members who list TX Region as their chapter of record are allowed to vote in annual elections.

Up for election are the positions of Regional Executive, Secretary, Treasurer, and 4 open Board of Directors seats.

Our candidates have provided brief bio's for you to consider while voting:

Bob Neff

I’ve been a member of Texas Region SCCA since 2001, primarily involved for most of that time with the Solo program. In addition to being an avid competitor both locally and nationally, I’ve supported the Region’s Solo program as Chief of Tech for the past seven years and for the past three years have served as Chief of Tech for the Solo Nationals. I’ve served for three years as a member of the Texas Region Board of Directors, and for the past two years have served as the Texas Region RE. During my tenure the Region has grown significantly and expanded its competition programs, re-started our Roundup Newsletter, survived introduction of the Club Race Majors program, and dealt with the tragic loss of several of our local competitors. In spite of many challenges we’ve made good progress as a Region over the past several years but I feel like we’ve just gotten started and there’s so much more we could do, so I’m asking for your support to continue those efforts. And not just by voting for me, but more importantly by joining me and the other officers and Board members in driving the Region toward even greater accomplishments in the future.

Gregg Rogers

My name is Gregg Rodgers, I've been a road race member of the Texas Region SCCA since 2002 and have served on the Texas Region Board of Directors for the past year. I've owed a track day prep, race prep and arrive & drive business serving SCCA club racing, vintage and SCCA Pro-racing for nearly 13 years. We are based at a race track and I also live at the track. That coupled with our travel to many races around the country allows me to bring a unique and broad perspective to the Texas Region Board of Directors. I’m excited about the many opportunities that lie ahead for the SCCA and would love to help see those opportunities come to fruition. I ask for your vote. Thank You

Jennifer Maxcy

My name is Jennifer Maxcy and I am running for the office of Secretary. I have been an SCCA member since 2005. My primary interest in the Club is Solo and I compete regularly at Regional and National levels. For several years I have chaired or co-chaired Solo events including Nationals, ProSolo, National Tour and Divisionals. In addition to the competition, I enjoy being involved with the Club and attending meetings. Currently I hold the office of Secretary and would appreciate your vote for another term.

Ron Bashor

I'm Ron Bashor and a current 'Texas Region' board member. I was appointed to the board to fill a previous board member's position who had to resign from his office about a year and a half ago. So now, I am seeking to renew my current position as board member for another two (2) years. I have been an SCCA member since 1966 and am now retired from full time work. I relocated with my wife Jeris from Ohio about five years ago, to the great retirement city of Denton, Tx. It has been my great pleasure to have been serving for the past four (4) years or so, as Course Marshall & Equipment Overseer for Texas Region at all its road racing events, plus I was acting Course Marshal for the COTA 'Majors' event in Austin a couple of years ago, and the NEOLA 'Majors' event earlier this year.

Having lived in several SCCA Regions over these many years, I have had the opportunity to have volunteered and/or served in other disciplines of the SCCA besides those I've noted above. They were many years as a Race Corner Worker, a Race Chairman for several events, a RE for the Wichita Region and a Club Racer for a number of years, to name a few. Having been involved with the Club for so many years now, and meeting and working with all the Great Members of the SCCA around the country, it has given me many great memories and great pleasure which keeps me coming back every year for more. I am looking forward to making many more great memories here with Texas Region in the years to come.

Sitara Wilson

Sitara is currently the Operations Manager for Formula Mazda, and has served on the TX Region board for the last two years. She's been instrumental in bringing new people to the Club Race program, and has provided valuable input and feedback to the Board during her tenure.

Matt Lucas

I’ve been an SCCA member since early 2000, all of that time with Texas Region. My initial exposure to the club was driving in a Solo event. My ego was promptly humbled that day, but I stuck with it because of the great folks I met and my love of the sport. Since then I’ve been involved in several leadership roles - Solo board member, Solo ARE, Region Board member, Youth Steward, Club Trials Steward, and most recently Region Treasurer for 2014. I’d like to continue in the treasurer role for another term because it keeps me connected to all the disciplines practiced in our region – Race, Rally, Solo and hopefully soon - Street Survival.

Bob Bailey

SCCA member since 2006.
