Audi Club NA - North Atlantic Chapter

Feb 8, 2021 - Mar 13, 2021

Please vote for up to 3 of the following candidates

Michael Collier

My name is Mike Collier, and I am running as a candidate for a seat on the North Atlantic Board of Directors. Many of you know me, some of you do not, but I have been a member of ACNA for 23 years. While in NH, you can register a 25 year old car as an antique. Well, I'm a bit older than that but I feel that I still have many more good years to give to the club before going out to pasture.

While working with Buddy Gregory on our Winter Driving Schools (WDS), I also
was the event master for the fifth year of the Covered Bridge Tour, and also created the Scavenger Hunt Drive this year. God willing and nature complies, we will continue putting on the club's signature events in 2021. I will also be bringing back the Covered Bridge Tour #6, Scavenger Hunt II, as well as a Time Speed Distance Rally this spring.

One of the greatest challenges that our club faces today is attracting and maintaining members, participants, and volunteers to keep our programs successful. While we might not be hosting High Performance Driving events, I believe that NAAC continues of offer diverse events and more of them every year.

I feel that we, as a club, need to continue to focus on how to increase our member participation across our events, so that members feel that there is a benefit to belonging to the NAAC Chapter.

As a current member of the club's leadership team, I would appreciate the opportunity to continue in this role, and respectfully request your vote.

William Ellis

I cannot believe that it has been another three years since I joined the board of the North Atlantic chapter of ACNA, and two years ago I was club president. I still remember that first meeting where my eyes were opened to the number of activities that happen and the focus on members enjoyment. The work behind-the-scenes to make the events happen is very rewarding, and it is my pleasure to work with such a dedicated board. I look forward to giving back to the club and growing the North Atlantic Chapter. I love driving my Q7 in club events, but hopefully will get a chance to drive some of my pre1980s Audi(s). Also, I want to take this opportunity to encourage any member of the club to engage with the board and bring us your thoughts on events - new or old.

I live in Wellesley MA with my wife (Mary), and my kids (Sam 19, Simon 19, Molly 21, and Corson 22).

Faviana Olivier

Faviana has been a gearhead for many years, having taken several engine rebuilding classes when she lived in California. She rebuilt a 1950 Buick Straight Eight for her daughters to drive as their first car, figuring if they could each drive the 6,000 lb. car with no power steering or power brakes without a ticket or accident, she would buy them a 1965 Mustang convertible. She has been an Audi enthusiast since the mid-1980s and currently babies her 2018 A-4, especially when winter street salt turns her black car white. She specifically looked for a 2018 model as that's the last year manual transmission A4s were available in the U.S.

As a Board Member of The Audi Club, Faviana has led the efforts to welcome new members and find unique favors for Club Members for various events; the current favor is a small LED flashlight for a keychain or glove compartment. Marketing to prospective and current club members fits closely with her professional background. In fact, using marketing ideas, especially guerrilla marketing, she has some fun ideas for Audi Club members to encourage them to meet each other in informal settings. For example, there are many members who have had interesting Audi/automoticve experiences. She believes these members would be terrific resources to share their experiences over a beer on Zoom and eventually at in-person get-togethers to meet and chat.

Professionally, Faviana holds a BA from Syracuse University and a JD from LaSalle University. She currently teaches at Northeastern University and has taught a variety of classes at other Boston-area colleges. Prior to teaching, she was a customer relations consultant for major banks, corporations and law firms.
