Event Requirements

BMW CCA membership is required to attend our Car Control Clinics and Performance Driving Schools. It is a simple process and you DO NOT NEED TO OWN A BMW: either call (864) 250-0022 or visit bmwcca.org (https://myaccount.bmwcca.org/PortalTools/NewUser/EmailCheck.cfm) to get your membership. A 1-year membership is $48.
Helmet - Snell SA or M 2010 or 2015 required - these are the only years that we accept. We also recommend neck braces and face shields. If you do not have a helmet, rentals are available within the twin cities. Please contact the event coordinator for details.
Tech Inspection - You are responsible for having your car inspected prior to the event, our sponsors will be scheduling an evening for complimentary inspections for all makes and models. Tech inspection forms will need to be submitted to North Star during the on site registration, and no accommodations will be made for on site inspections.
SUVs, vans, convertibles, targa, and t-tops are NOT allowed at Performance Driving School events.
NOTE: The following specific SAV (Sports Activity Vehicles) are allowed at Performance Driving School events: BMW X3, X5, and X6, as well as the Porsche Cayenne and Audi Q7. If you have any doubt if your vehicle qualifies, please contact us at: drivingschools@northstarbmw.org.
