Rules and General Information

Permitted vehicles:
All vehicle types are welcome to compete as long as they are safe and do not present a hazard to drivers or anyone else and are appropriate for rally racing. Overly aggressive or studded tires not permitted due to the nature of the track. Specific vehicle types may be denied at certain events depending on specific conditions of that track. It is suggested that anyone with concerns talk to IRC officials before the race to confirm eligibility.

General Guidelines:
- All cars allowed, no exclusions for body styles or drivetrain configurations, as long as they meet safety requirements.
- Convertibles allowed as long as vehicle has hard top or adequate roll over protection. Closed face helmets must be worn.
- Trucks allowed - must run street or non aggressive tires. May not compete with locked differentials. Must not present a roll-over risk.
- Speciality / Tube chassis vehicles allowed with similar considerations as with trucks or convertibles.
- Side by sides / UTV's - may compete if street legal

Car Classification Guidelines:

Indiana Rallycross uses an abbreviated car classification system that allows AWD, FWD, and RWD cars to be put together in the same class depending on the modification and performance of that car. These classes are designed to keep cars grouped by capability rather than strictly based on mechanical specifications. The result of this is increased competition in each class.

In some cases, very high performance stock cars will receive a class handicap and will be bumped up to the next class. There is no set rule for this, and it is the track officials to class cars in a manner that promotes fair competition.
