Welcome to online registration for San Diego Chapter autocrosses, enabling you to pay by credit card over a secure connection. This convenience eliminates the early morning line-up and lets you confirm you'll get one of our limited openings. It's still first-come, first-served until we're full, but now you can wait at your computer instead of in the dark in your Bimmer.
This 2-day Autocross allows you to sign up for Saturday only ($65), Sunday only ($65), or both days ($125). Look carefully at the sign-up options and be sure to select the one you wish. Saturday will be conducted in the normal format, with practice by color group in the morning, timed competition runs in the afternoon by car class, and trophies presented to winners at the end. Twenty slots are reserved for non-BMW cars on Saturday. Sunday will run by color group all day with the first session single laps and sessions after that 4 continous laps. On Sunday, we'll also allow an unlimited number of non-BMWs (up to the 100 car limit). Those who sign up for both days get first priority for the available slots on Sunday. You may run a different car on each day; bring your BMW on Saturday.
We promote a safe learning environment and provide Instructors to all Participants on Saturday. Your entry fee includes unlimited beverages, breakfast snacks, and a lunch for each Participant. Additional sandwiches may be purchased for $7 in advance at Registration. As an all-volunteer organization, we require that you work corners at your scheduled time and ask you to stay after the autocross to help us pick up cones. It's an all-day event allowing you to explore the full potential of your car in a safe and exciting environment, with plenty of time to meet other BMW CCA members. Event requirements
Since Autocross events are so popular, we must restrict participation to current BMW CCA members (any Chapter affiliation welcome). You must be a BMW CCA member to enter. Bring your BMW CCA membership card with you to show at the entry gate. You may join BMW CCA online at www.bmwcca.org. If you just joined and have not yet received your membership card, please print your confirmation and bring it with you.
A helmet rated Snell 2005 or later is required. Helmets are available to rent (Novices get priority) for $10. Participating cars may not exceed a noise limit of 93 dB. Drivers must have a valid Driver's license, and drivers under age 18 must have a special waiver signed by parent or guardian (see Registration desk on site) . Drivers may not take passengers other than identified Instructors. Passengers riding with Instructors must be age 16 or older.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Our Insurance policy REQUIRES anyone on site under the age of 18 to have a Minor Waiver signed by a parent or guardian. THIS INCLUDES BOTH DRIVERS AND SPECTATORS. Please see the Registration volunteer to obtain a Minor Waiver. We apologize for any inconvenience, but we must comply.
