Solstice in the Park PDX

Lime Rock Park

About this event

New England Region, SCCA Announces the "Solstice in the Park PDX" at Lime Rock Park's Infield Courses

Welcome to SCCA's Performance Driving Experience! NER brings you a new type of non-competitive event where you are encouraged to simply come out and have some fun with your car in an instructional environment. Brush up on car control skills and g-loading a car on either of the 1/3-mile kidney-bean tracks atop the hill at historic Lime Rock Park, one wet and one dry (weather permitting)! Then in the afternoon, try the full configuration with its dramatic elevation change (run counter-clockwise, a rarely-offered option for fullsize cars). An entry includes lead-follow laps on the full 1.53 mile circuit mid-day! Bring any car you want, this is an unmuffled event. Cars need only be mechanically sound and street legal or eligible-as-prepared for SCCA Club Racing Spec Miata, Touring or Improved TOuring classes or SCCA Solo Stock, Street Touring, Street Prepared or Street Modified classes.

Drivers must provide their own  SFI 31.1 or Snell SA2000 (or newer) helmet to use and/or share. There may be no more than two drivers(two entries) sharing a car.

Entry Fee: $110 (Non-SCCA-members will be able to purchase a $15 weekend membership at the track)
Checks may be mailed to registrar Trevor Hermance - 234 Whiting Street, New Britain, CT 06051-3124 - or cash/check payment made at the track.
Any mailings must be received by June 19, 2013.

Afterward, enjoy the atmosphere and socialization of NER's "Double the Fun" Regional race weekend, which includes free camping and a "stance car" show on Saturday! And/or, head 2.5 hours northeast for the Solo "Starting Line" action and points event at Moore Airfield in Ayer, MA through Sunday.
