CalClub September E-Board Practice

San Bernardino International Airp

About this event

Hey gang, good news.  There is a newly paved lot in town.  We are the first group to be invited to enjoy the brand new paved lot at San Bernardino International Airport.  Oh how I love the smell of new asphalt!  Seventy-five lucky people will get to join in the fun.  Well, seventy-four not counting me.  We expect to get the usual 12 runs each, though that's not guaranteed.  It's more likely to happen the more volunteers we have to help set-up and chalk the course on Saturday morning.  Set up will begin at sunrise, about 6:30 AM.  With just a bit of luck, we'll have the first car on course by nine.

What to expect - For this event, expect three run/work groups. Each participant will work once in the morning, once in the afternoon.....about an hour each.  When you're not working, you're welcome to join us in the pre-grid.  Expect a run about every 20 minutes.  We'll take a break for lunch, about an hour if things go according to Hoyle.  There's food nearby for those who prefer to dine out.  After lunch, we'll come back and do it all over again.  Be sure to bring a good supply of cold water as if just might hot out there and there will be no water available on the site.

No Overnight Camping - There is no overnight camping allowed on this site.  However, personal belongings, including vehicles, may remain overnight.  The site is fully fenced and the gates will be closed and locked when we leave for the night.  Everything must be removed by the time we leave on Sunday.  Neither Cal Club nor the San Bernardino International Airport Authority will be responsible for damaged, lost or stolen property.

Driving directions - For for turn by turn driving directions to the event, just left click on the map to the right.  For those preferring to use GPS, use 3400 Third St., Highland, CA as the destination.  Entering San Bernardino International Airport will take you to the opposite side of the airport.

VERY IMPORTANT GANG - As with any venue, we want to make a good impression on our landlords.  With that in mind, please, please, please use the receptacles for your trash and do not leave trash anywhere on site.  Also, have respect for the neighbors and drive carefully both inside and outside the site.
