Travel back to the Old West. Drive over the 8000ft+ Onyx Summit in the San Bernardino Mountains then down to a stop at the Wolf Mountain Sanctuary. See the prime predators of the American mountains and plains then meet and interact with a wolf at this Federally Licensed Rescue and Rehabilitation Facility dedicated to the preservation of wild and rescued wolves and wolf hybrids. www.wolfmountainsanctuary.com
We will start at the parking lot of the Corner Bakery, 402 No. Orange Street, Redlands, CA 92374. Drive up HWY 38 then at the west end of Big Bear Lake merge onto HWY 18 to drive down into the high desert to the Wolf Mountain Sanctuary, 7520 Fairlane Road, Lucerne Valley, CA 92356.
There is a $28 per person non-refundable donation to the Sanctuary payable through Motorsports Reg.
NOTE: The last 1/4 mile on Fairlane Road to the Wolf Sanctuary is dirt with some rocks. It will be driven at 5 MPH. If you are concerned about this part of the drive, please contact Alan Johnson at 562-305-8002 or alantheinspector@verizon.net
From there, it is a short drive to Pioneertown.
Departing the Sanctuary drive to HWY 247 to our final destination Pioneertown. Walk the streets and boardwalks of an authentic 1940"s wstern movie set originated by Roy Rogers, Tom Mix and friends. Though there are few Western Movie productions now, these are not just movie set facades, but most are complete buildings that have been preserved for us to tour followed by lunch at Pappy and Harriet's Saloon

Take the I-10 Fwy. East towards Redlands
Take Exit 79, Orange Ave, and continue straight on Pearl Street, Turn Right on Orange Street, Turn left into parking lot at the corner of Stuart and Orange- 402 No. Orange Street, Redlands, CA 92374
Communication during the tour will be by GMRS Radio (walkie talkies) in channel 7, Sub-channel 20
