JOIN US FOR WINTERFEST 2017!
The Tennessee Region PCA is proud to announce the 11th Winterfest February 17 - 19. The 2017 event will again kick-off at the Volkswagen Welcome center in Chattanooga. Contrary to news reports, VW in Chattanooga is alive and healthy as VW ramps up its second assembly line to produce a new SUV that is larger than the Toureg. In light of the Toureg's sharing DNA with the Porsche Cayenne, could a Porsche come from Chattanooga's assembly line in the future? But I digress. If you haven't shown your car in VW's welcome center, then you are missing seeing your car in the most ideal of venues. The lighting in the Welcome Center is designed to really make a car POP, and boy does it succeed.
Winterfest will pretty much be the same relaxing weekend as in years past, but we are looking into a Saturday shopping extravaganza for the ladies...more on that later.
2015 even proved that Winterfest could actually happen under clear skies, without the excitement of rain, sleet or snow. We could not do anything about dark of night.
The Best Western on Bonny Oaks Drive will again be the host hotel. It is convenient to VW and Hamilton Place Mall, and right across the street from Porsche of Chattanooga. When you book your room, mention Tenn. Region PCA for the $59.99 room rate ( minus taxes.) Their phone Is 423 899-3311.
As in Winterfests past, we will be loading cars into the Welcome Center at mid-day on Friday, with registration starting in early evening. As the hard core clean their cars, we will hold a welcome social. If you so desire, you can eat at any of hundreds of area restaurants, but we usually have enough food to handle a healthy appetite.
Saturday morning will be the Concours with a Tech Quiz to test how well you read your Panoramas. We will have a continental breakfast with plenty of coffee. After the Concours, we will have our Barbeque luncheon. You can tour the area as we have many roads to test your Porsche's abilities. We will again have the banquet at Porsche of Chattanooga on Saturday evening.
We will have online registration later. If you prefer, we will accept mail in applications if you fill the enclosed form. Please enclose a check for $150.00 for a couple and $95.00 for a single. Extra banquet tickets are available for $45.00 each.
